Heh, I remember when I was younger I would have this same nightmare over and over again.  It went like this see, I would wake up in my bed like everything was normal and I was in reailty, I would get out of bed, but then this octopus under my bed would always grab me and pull me under, a little creepy for my young age.  Later on it has been happening alot and I need to find a way to stop it.  The solution?  Take control of your dream, the last time I had that nightmare was when I "woke up" pulled out my Chuck Norris feet and got in a kick boxing fight with it before blowing it up with my mind.  Problem solved.

Eeeexactly.

I had a recurring dream involving an army of crayola crayon boxes marching through my kitchen as I watched from my seat on the countertop (which I wasn't supposed to sit on... and I still feel slightly guilty about that for some reason). I was like six? ish?

I've never been able to truly have a lucid dream. The strangest sleep/dream related thing that has happened to me is that once after catching an afternoon nap I didn't wake up normally. My eyes were open and I was aware of the room around me but I couldn't move, then I started to have visual hallucinations. It was a rather unpleasant experience.

This has happened to me before, but only with auditory illusions, everything looks fine. It's sleep paralysis. It used to happen very often, but never anymore. The first time it happened to me I thought I had been completely paralyzed, and would have to continue living as a vegetable. (Far worse than any nightmare.)

Not only is it not actually advertising anything, it's just copy/pasting word salads about gold, runescape, oil, yuan, and handbags.  It's like a transporter accident combined all the spambots into one shambling mass of online sales.

How does it feel when you dream lucidly? Is it still blurry, or does it feel just like real life?

I sometimes dream lucidly when I "swim" in my dreams and realise that I can breathe underwater

I always just found it peculiar that the police are always able to pin the crime on you 100 percent of the time. The fact that organized crime rings exist at all without being bombed to hell by the national guard is evidence enough that this is not strictly the case in reality.

Chair? I've never fallen asleep upright.

I guess its just me I guess, I'm quite able to fall asleep anywhere, usually as long as I have somewhere softish to put my head, the rest is secondary.

I often sleep on hardwood floors for example.  I could probably sleep on a slab of rock as long as I could get into a comfortable position.  (Add in the fact that a rock is usually cold to the touch and I'l sleep like a baby.

That reminds me, my dreams are weird. Really weird. Biometal sack race, anyone?

Sometimes, at the morning, when I'm still really tired, I may try to continue to sleep while entering a lucid dreaming-like state, but I can't really do anything, it's even hard to make out something and stuff.

Well, I seem to remember my dreams being clear at the time I had them (lucid or not), but from when I wake up they start to get blurry.

My dreams become lucid when I realize that I am not really Eric Clapton.

You have to take control of your eyes and comand them to let you see.  Just scream, "LET ME SEES EYEBALLSS!!"  hopefully you're dreaming when you do that.

The only dreams I remember are in third person, where I can see myself doing stuff, and control myself etc (or atleast am given the illusion of controlling myself) but from the perspective of someone else. Does anyone else get this?

I've lucid dreamt twice that I can remember, but never waking enough to comprehend the full extent of my powers.  As a result, both lucid dreams were rather boring.
More interesting was the time I half-woke in the middle of a dream and was able to consciously control my rl body while still asleep and dreaming (what's the term for being aware of a dream but not lucid dreaming?).

I thought lucid dreaming at its "lowest level" was simply being aware you are dreaming.
