Maybe someday, when we have brain to brain neural interfaces.

Actually... shared dreams would probably be one of the less interesting applications of that sort of tech.
Still cool, sure, but compared to the other possibilities...

Like enhanced population control?

Well, in this case I wasn't referring to the sharing of just dreams, more like an immersive shared reality that can be altered at will. Eg. Multiperson VR.

Hey guys, planning on attempting to lucid tonight but I can't think of what to do in my dream. What should I do?

Glancing at your avatar and signature, I would say have a gentlemanly Colonel Sanders show up on a unicorn and invite you to go for an adventure over the space rainbow.

I'll consider it I guess. I just like to have a plan going into the dream and I can't think of anything right now.

Try having a dream of what's recently happened in your DF game.

Semi-lucid nightmares are the most terrible god damn thing. I was dreaming that everyones eyes were made of stone, and they all had knives in their hands. At first they were all closing in to murder me, but then I got out of the death sentence. The second I get away, they all just start cutting their eyes, and the stone still bleeds. All I could do was run down an endless street crowded with these people.

I picked up the stone and carved my name into the wind.

O_O
i had a wierd ass dream, it's been several months ago. it was hazy at the time, and more-so now

I'd been up late playing DF the night before, and i was trying to wake up. Somehow, it's like my brain was running DF, and waking up was like building a megaproject: the dwarves did not want to co-operate with me.

i think it took a good 5 minutes to mentally recover...

I don't lucid dream, but I do screw with my sleep :3

I have done the thing where you put ping-pong ball halves over your eyes, turn on a mildly bright red light, and turn the radio to static.

Holy shit. The few parts I can remember are so fucking trippy it scares me.

Never gotten that to work. Probably because of a lack of a red light. Although I did try using a red ping-pong ball, but I ended up closing my eyes instead of following the directions.

Damnit, I didn't know you needed a red light. No wonder it didn't work.

Dammit, I want to do this but I have bad sleeping habits and dream very rarely anyways.

I once managed to spontaneously lucid dream, though. It was an awesome 3 seconds before I woke up.

I've attempted to have lucid dreams before. I can easily recognise that I'm in a dream but everytime I know this I suddenly wake up IRL... I guess I'm to stuck in the here and now -____________-
