No, I've had WILDs.

Around ten minutes after waking up, I've suddenly felt myself yanked off my bed, whipped through non-space at high speeds, hearing wind rushing past me, and then landed in my bed again, now in a dream, with no lapse in consciousness.  That's a WILD

I had a recent wild where I woke from non-dreaming sleep to check the time and dropped into a wild...I use to do it all the time, that and shooing people off quite meanly and telling accurate times and such while sleeping and not recalling doing it at all...mornings for me were always filled with false starts where I'd dream I got dressed only to wake up and have to get dressed.

from what you just said, that actually sounds more like a False Awakening

No.  I was awake before it happened, I've done reality checks to make sure before one hits.

Badabump.

Had a lucid dream last night.  Started out normal, suddenly realized I was dreaming.  I was walking down the hallway in this weird building (I think it was an opera house of some sort).  I suddenly felt a wave of fear, and these weird shifting lights started flashing in the hall ahead of me.  I started floating up through the ceiling, and woke up into a crazy windtossed version of my bed, trying to hold on.  After it calmed down, I got up and went to check the time.  All my phone said was GET OUT NOW.  I realized I was still dreaming, and got in my bed because I knew it would be a scary version of my house.  I tried to wake myself up but eventually realized I was being a pansy and decided to explore scaryhouse.  I couldn't talk, which is a common theme in these types of dreams, and I think I know why.

I think I'm so close to waking up that when I talk I try to talk with my real mouth, which is closed and doesn't respond.  I just make these unintelligible sounds, and the most recent time I tried to say "I am in control" to reinforce the dream.  I woke up as I said it and mumbled "Mmm hm hm hh-hmmm"

I had a nice lucid parkour dream last night.

Although I don't have many recurring dreams, I have recurring dream places. If I dream I'm in the dreamy world of some place I've been before, it will turn more lucid.

I love dream work. I use Carlos Castaneda's system primarily, but have practiced the Tibetan art of dreaming for some time now as well. I have not yielded consistent results unfortunately, I am not a natural dreamer. On the occasions that I can control dreams, while asleep as opposed to meditation induced 'dreaming', it has been quite rewarding.  :D

I always have dreams when I don't have to wake up at anytime the next day.  Having this week off helps that.

I just had a dream last night (it wasn't lupus lucid but I'm not making another thread)....and well it was quite strange.  I remember most of it and it involved cross dressing.

O_O

And I remember a Borders store, and some school stuff.........

O.o

That was weird.

Oh hey, a dream I remember.
I was riding a motorcycle on some sort of racetrack. I seemed to be winning at the time. A woman's voice fills my head and begins to taunt me, and speak about my past. My vision zooms out to a third person view, and I discover I'm very cartooney. Behind me are other racers, riding in cars and other motorcycles. I drift along a deep bend, and the bike slips from under me. My head impacts the ground, and I bounce along the track into the sandpit in the inside of the turn. The woman's voice screams in fright, and I wake up.

I remember this dream where I was chopping my way through a fortress with an axe. It was filled with little imps. then a minotaur shot out of a closet (Like, WTF man?) and decapitated me. Then I respawned and killed 'im off as a ghost.

I always Lucid dream on weekends too. I usually wake myself up either by falling off a cliff (accidental) or by willing myself to wake. Then I lie in bed and try to remember the dream for as long as I can.

I suspect I am a naturally lucid dreamer.
I've always been aware that I'm dreaming when I'm dreaming, as long as I can remember. There's been some memorable exceptions, but they're uncommon. I also tend to remember most of my dreams.

I used to have nightmares every night when I was little, and pretty early on I picked up the trick of waking myself up from inside a dream. Basically, I'd squeeze my eyes shut and make fists as tight as I could. The feeling of making fists would be weirdly muffled, then absent, and then when I opened my eyes I'd be awake in my bed.

Gradually after that, I started to gain an increased awareness that I was unconsciously controlling my dreams. It wasn't like actually directing them. It was just the realization that if I expected something bad to happen, it would. But if I believed I'd dodge the danger, I would. Simply being aware of this in dreams led to a kind of indirect control, because it's easier to reinforce a belief when you already understand that believing it makes it true. Does that make sense?

Anyway, since then I've basically had some ability to control every dream. Generally a lot of my dreams actually have interesting worlds and stories, so I just go along for the ride, but I've used it to consciously "cheat" before, like teleporting to safety when I'm tired of being chased, or giving myself superpowers. Sometimes I'll just randomly decide to be a different character or creature. I can generally feel how close a dream is to "breaking", and avoid pushing things too far when the reality feels thin.

Anyway, I have an unusual question for other dreamers:

Have you ever successfully dreamed about being something with more than four limbs? There's a dragon-like creature with wings on its back that I've tried being a few times, but I found that I could only retain feeling in either my arms and legs OR my wings and legs. That is, it had 6 limbs but I could only feel the sensations of moving four at any given time, and had to keep switching back and forth. I guess it's because I literally can't imagine the sensation of moving more limbs than I have in real life. Has anyone overcome this?

On a similar note, what senses do people have in their dreams? I have sight and hearing (obviously), plus limited touch with my surroundings and fairly strong feeling of muscle-movement. I also have a very strong sense of taste (especially sweet) when it comes up, but no sense of smell or temperature. No clue how standard that is.

Actaully, I have lucid dreams half the time I dream. For example, once a drempt of a comet flying through space, I KNEW I was dreaming, then I thought 'Then it explodes!' It exploaded 10 seconds later.
