Reason for joining The Running Man: My last place of business fell under the mark, the owner called it falling into the Red, but truth was he was convicted of being a Hacker that operated through his store. Now with no work and no one will to give me a chance due to my inability to speak, I am running short of options…
Other/Bio: My youth was rough and found that moving through the streets by taking any path available aided me to keep my life for longer then it should have been, (see Mediocre Parkour Ability) born without the ability to speak I was targeted by many who thought it would be better to target the weak, them face down in puddle that would slowly turn red, left the thought otherwise.
At the age of 18 I was given a chance to learn the ins and outs of computer appliances and moved through the assembly and programming abilities quickly, this allowed me to gain a job in a retail outlet. Money at first was handy but, taking it from others was easier. Hacking through planted bugs and lines gave me access to the many accounts that pass through the shop. The Funds passed through the Bosses account where I would remove it physically from the Till, nothing changing in account at work, no worries, This later turned out for poor as the Feds busted the business a few hours after I was fired (For 'talking back' to too many Customers, Heh...) . Lucky me…

To Zak/Zak's Alt: Dude, I'm actually sorry, but it's how the game works. They aren't supposed to incapacitate you, they're supposed to shoot you dead. That's the point. Shitty rolls, and I tried to give you a couple second chances, but the dice roller kept spitting up ones and twos...

So wait, they are trying to kill a random person who hasn't done anything serious yet? I mean COME ON. He was incapacitated, they could have taken him prisoner or something, not shot him again. Zako shouldn't be dead. And he should have the bonus, and being a GM means being fair to everyone, i.e. no taking off bonuses just because it suits your needs.

I think you missed the point of the show. The point is to kill the contestants, and do so in a matter that would entertain the viewers. Zak's death was unlucky, but bad luck strikes in these games, especially when everything is based on dice rolls.

The first shot that got him, the damage roll was a 2. This is a can-be-worse scenario where you have taken a decent hit, but you can get out of it with a bit of luck. Tumbling down to the floor in agony is the worst he could get, besides a instantly fatal wound, which IMO, shouldn't exist in RTD's.

Insta-kills exist in this game. A one would've been a round blowing through his skull. Everyone gets the same combat rules as the NPCs, because after all, the characters are human.

Also, Guard A shoots because you pushed him? What is this, a cliche filled future movie where the cops kill you on nothing? They have no base for shooting him.

Their supposed to shoot him. That's the point.

It's amazing what a string of bad luck will do.  It's too bad, really.

Now I know to be cautious.  I'll head into the bar, looking for someone who can get me meds, preferably for cheap.

You cautiously head to Jack's Bar(Detection Roll=3+2)(Luck Roll=6), arriving in a group of factory workers who seem to have taking a liking to you although you look a decade older than them. (Charisma Roll=6) You make up some stories about some service you did in The Gulf War, and the workers buy you a drink. You continue to spin a tale about border patrol and being ambushed by an Iraqi squad, and your new friends are enthralled with you.

 (Charisma Roll=4) You ask the workers if they know anyone who can get you some meds, and they glance uneasily between eachother before directing you to a pale man sitting in the corner of the bar. You walk over to the pale man's small table, the pale man sitting with a huge man whose arms are covered with tattoos. The bulge under his shirt and the glare he shoots you gets the impression across: don't try anything. You sit down at the table and quietly ask for the brand names of your medication, and if he's got 'em cheap. (Luck Roll=6) The pale man takes out a suitcase from underneath the table and opens it, showing the hundreds of bottles of medications inside. You simply stare for a second, and then ask, "How much?" (Charisma Roll=2)(Detection Roll=6) The dealer stares at you for a second, and then says, "I'm sorry, I don't sell to people who look as old as you, pops. People like you have a bad tendency to drop dead after taking some shit they ain't familiar with." You plead and bargain, but the dealer closes his suitcase and says, "My policy is my policy. Get the fuck outta here." You pleadingly ask again, and show the dealer a wad of cash, but a intimidating glare from the bodyguard sends you back to your seat with your new friends. The pale man and the bodyguard leave the bar, the bodyguard still glaring at you. Guess you'll need to find a new source.

Your dead just enter another contestant (if that's allowed) And also nice use of "Alan" Little.

I guess I will go out into the streets and offer some of the push to a junky for some fricken information on street gangs, mobsters ect. (please this time oh dice!!!)

You take roughly half your Push, and head out onto the streets. (Luck Roll=1) You wander around the streets, and end up finding a gang. You ask them about where you could find any illegal organization, you hint at being able to give them Push, and the punks just laugh. The one who appears to be the leader steps forward in a hoodie and lowrider jeans, hard eyes staring out you from his shaved head. He grins and says, "Well, look what we have here. Some asshole from a nice little middle-class home who thinks he's cool, so he's just gonna find a gang or a Mob and join them?" The group seems hostile, and two have buried their hands in their back pockets, no doubt around the handles of knives. You rapidly start to talk(Charisma Roll=6!) and you spin a convincing tale about you needing cash for your brother who's dying of lung cancer, and you figure criminal work would be the quickest way to get the cash. (Luck Roll=1+1) The criminals aren't convinced, and they walk forward with menace, the minions drawing out knives, ne taking out a hard looking pipe, and the leader taking out a pistol.

Alan appears, and advises you to get the hell outta there, and you take his advice. You sprint out of the alleyway(Luck Roll=6!) and you leave the thugs behind, screaming death threats and gang chants at you. (Luck Roll=6!(Holy Christ, sixes all around)) You start walking around again, and as you hear police sirens, a hand snakes out from an alley and pulls you into the darkness as a police cruiser swings around the corner. You look into the shadows, but your savior is wearing a Nixon mask and has a hood pulled up. You ask her why he saved you. A feminine voice replies, "Because we need to stick it to The Man, and we're gonna make him shit in his boot and eat it."

(Charisma Roll=4) You graciously thank her, and you ask her if she knows anywhere that anybody could help you stays. She takes off her mask and pulls down her hood, revealing a beautiful, radiant, face and flowing chestnut hair. Her laughter is charming(Love Roll=6!) and you've fallen in love at first sight. She looks you up down, noticing your face has turned a nice shade of red, but all she does is grin and take your hand. Alan appears beside you as she guides you through an alley and across a small side-street(Crazy Roll=4) but he stays silent as you talk to your savior(Charisma Roll=1!) but the attempts you make at conversation fall flat, and after you end up mentioning Allan, she merely looks at you, lets go of your hand, and says flatly, "Keep up." (Charisma Roll=5) You make a shining comeback, explain how you are a little crazy, but aren't we all deep down? Besides, it was a medical issue, something in the air you always thought, and you lived with Allan the best you could. She seems to have more sympathy than loathing for you after that, and the conversation attempts after that(Charisma Roll=3) is okay, a steady banter but nothing fantastic.

She leads you to a warehouse, keeps a steady watch for pursuers(Luck Roll=2) but doesn't spot any. You head inside the warehouse with your savior, and she lifts up a trap door. You head down into the dank basement, and are greeted by a black man who is missing a few teeth and looks rather worse for wear, but is smiling nevertheless. He introduces himself as Bradley, explains The Man is gonna have his ass kicked, that he'd been doin' dis fo' five years, and that he met Richards himself. Bradley takes you to a backroom occupied by two tables, but before you can start looking for useful objects, you hear a muffled scream of, "OH SHIT!" followed by two gunshots. Bradley immediately runs into a small room at the back of this room and screams, "THE FUCKING PIGS ARE HERE!" Your savior walks in, gives you a lovely smile as she pulls a gleaming handgun out of her pocket and says, "By the way, I'm Rachel. Come on!"

You run into the main room with Rachel(Luck Roll=1!) just in time to see the first cop appearing at the door to the stairs. A underground member starts to charge, but the cop calmly fires a round into his head before shifting his aim to you...

The shot screams past you, nearly skimming Rachel and right into the wall. You run to the side as Rachel fires a round at the cop, the boom of the shot making your ears ring in the enclosed space!

But is absorbed by his armor! He grins and takes aim at Rachel!

The shot hits the door frame, harmlessly plowing into the wood!

The shot grazes the cop, and he turns back into the corridor, knowing his brethern on coming very soon...

Rachel grabs your hand and pulls you into a cramped closet. She whispers,"I need to save Brad. Don't wait up." With that, she kisses you on the cheek, and reopens the door, firing as she exits the room, closing the door behind her. (Luck Roll=6!) You wonder why she left you in here, and then your hand finds something that feels like the handle of the broom. Might as well have something to defend yourself with...The broom doesn't come into your hands when you tug on it, and you feel yourself suddenly dropping in the darkness, before landing on a dirty stack of mattresses. You sigh, and head towards the room's only door. Allan reappears beside you as you walk up the flight of stairs beyond the door, and then you take a right and walk for what seems like forever. You finally see a door at the head of another long flight of stairs, and you open it to find yourself facing a blank wall with a button on it. You press the button, and the wall starts to rotate. You pop into the room beyond through a crack, and find yourself in another janitor's closet. This room has a door with light filtering in from underneath it, so you eventually find the door handle and open it, finding yourself in the back of what looks like a crackhouse. There's used condoms on the floor, cigarette ashes everywhere, and even a small bag of push lying on a end table, and two doors leading into other rooms. The door on the side has a sink running, but the sink abruptly stops. You open the door at the end of room to find what looks like a tacky pawnshop, but your observations are interrupted when a voice from the other door yells, "YO! BRADLEY! IS THAT YOU?" Allan advises you to run(Crazy Roll=3) and you run out of the place, finding yourself on the street, the building you were just in a building labeled, "Ivan's Store"  You run a few blocks(Detection Roll=5+1) and nobody notices you. You're on a side street in a slum, and you realize you're lost.

You ask for directions back to your apartment building(Luck Roll=6), and a helpful local takes you there himself. You walk back to your apartment uninterrupted, but once you enter you see the whore sleeping on your bed yet again, and the light in your washroom is on...

As you go retrieve your notice, you are tapped on the shoulder by a man in a black suit. The man looks as cold and as uncompromising as a rod of stainless steel, so you don't complain when he handcuffs you and leads you into a backroom, the room empty save for two chairs and a table.

He sits in the chair opposite you, and says, "You didn't get on the show, and records have shown you flying the coop right before the hacking investigation was highly suspicious. Your boss didn't have the skills, but I'm sure you do..."

You cringe, waiting for the death sentence, but instead, he passes you a contract.

"We want you hacking for us."

You gratefully nod, knowing you've escaped death only because of your skills, and you silently smile as you're uncuffed and led into another room of the Games Building, a room with a top-of-the-line computer and a Word document filled with a list of targets on screen, just waiting for you to start...
