Two suggestions
« on: June 19, 2009, 07:28:37 am »

  • It would be neat if nameless creatures don't use a name if you speak to them. For example, speaking to a lizard-man as an elf and getting back "Greetings." and only that.
  • The game handles player body part naming buggily. Picking up your own left arm results in "You pick up the your left arm with your right hand" and stuff like that.

It's not buggy per se, it's just grammatically wrong. You might not notice if English isn't your first language(I'm not sure if this is the case or not), but "you pick up THE YOUR left arm" does not sound right.

There are similar odd grammars with dismembered body parts of named creatures (notably dwarves) in fortress mode loo(k)ing. I can't remember what off the top of my head, but it was weird.

He may have skipped right over the "the" without noticing. I know I did until I read your post.
