Glee!!!!

Soon! Very soon! Giant orbital laser, here we come! For now we have to be satisfied with people mysteriously vaporising in the Middle East.

Lasers are bad for the environment because of power usage. A giant orbital laser would need to be powered up by a fusion reactor or something.

Ah, the US never ceases to amaze us with finding new weapons of mass destruction.

A laser is not a weapon of mass destruction.  It's a laser.

That's like the exact opposite of mass destruction - pinpoint destruction.

You say that until they invent gatling lasers and laser bombs.

how would a laser bomb work exactly anyway?

also, a giant orbital laser would need a fusion reactor, true. it probably will use an huuuge fusion reactor.... because if it was for me, i would take energy from the sun. much more efficent in space.

Something like a flash crystal?  Or a disco ball?  Maybe it just spins really fast.

The sad thing is that the US military invents so many cool weapons, but it never really uses them on a large scale.

Sound gun exists, but I haven't heard of it since some riot somewhere.

Guns which use snow and sand for ammo exist, but no one really uses them.

The exception is probably the predator drone.

Interesting enough a Gatling laser is a perfectly valid concept if you use chemical lasers.
Said chemical lasers can fire very powerful beams, but only for short amounts of time because the chemicals heat up. if you use several chemical containers and rotate them however...

The US says that these lasers are too big to be properly portable last I heard. Which is why I think that they need blimps that fire lasers at unsuspecting masses once the AA has been disabled.

So... roving blimps firing beams for death? I'm cool with that.

So expend undue resources to knock out AA, then float blimps in to destroy whats left with ridiculous weapons?

Reminds me of Red Alert 2.

You knocked out AA before you sent in the Kirovs? I never bothered.

I never understood why Kirovs had so much hp. You'd think they'd be the first things to die.
