i would love to donate but its a lot of money, each dolar its like almost 5 bucks to me (crisis sucks) , so im saving, just to give toady at least 20 dolars, or something like that

Once i'v got my new PC, i'll donate what I can of my next paycheck. (I get £100 (About $190) every two weeks).

I'm saving up for a £300 - £500, I currently have £100, and I get paid next week.

...So at that rate, let's hope Toady releases DF in say... 9 weeks? Two Months... Sounds about right anyway, for the pace he is working at. (Not sarcasm e.O)

100 Japanese yen = 1.0393 U.S. dollars

The yen isn't worth more unless you account that they don't use a decimal system and their 1 yen is like out 1 cent. And even then the advantage is minimal

I'm sure you didn't mean it that way but that last comment is a little...could be worded better. Anyway, I can't say I'll pledge anything considering my own financial situation, but maybe next time I think to splurge on something I'll remember DF could use some funds.

I usually donate when I'm playing the game a lot. I figure, since I'll happily pay $40 for a triple-A videogame that lasts >30 hours, I ought to give Toady a similar amount whenever I've been playing DF for 10 or 20 or whatever number of hours. When I get bored of a fortress, several months can pass before I feel like playing again, so my donations tend to be irregular.

Anyway, point being: when the next version is released, I'll almost certainly play it a lot, and as a consequence of this I'll almost certainly donate again.
