Welcome to the Strange World RTD.
You have been stranded on a strange planet, with few provisions and a slim chance of escape. You are in a now-defunct research station that was shut down due to protoreactor meltdown. Your job is to find or build a new one and install it. But when only five other survivors remain... Can you make it out alive?
Basic RTD Rules:Tell the GM you want to do something.
The GM rolls a die.
1-Epic Fail-The opposite of the desired outcome.
2-Fail-You fail completely.
3-Marginal Fail-You get something similar to, but not, the desired outcome.
4-Success-It works, but it could have come out better.
5-Full Success-It works perfectly.
6-Overshoot-You try too hard. Something extreme happens.
(No metaphysical powers, just you, your skills, and the environment.)
Wound system:This uses a six-step wound system
Unscathed
Lightly wounded
Wounded
Grievously wounded
Downed
Dead
Whenever you take damage, you move down a level. Some particularly nasty blows can move you down two levels or worse. Each turn you have a 1 in 6 chance of the wound healing and you go up a level. When you are grievously wounded or worse, you have a 1 in 6 chance of the wound getting worse.
SkillsYou start with 3 skills. Whenever doing something related to these skills, you get a +1 on die rolls.
Knowledge (Checks to see if you know about something. I'll PM you with the answer.)
First Aid (Medical care, healing, etc.)
Wilderness Survival (Foraging, hunting, traveling through rough terrain, etc.)
Melee combat (Fists, clubs, etc.)
Ranged combat (Guns, lasers, bows, etc.)
Engineering (Building things, like the protoreactor!)
