Elf haters, gather here

Brothers, we hate elves! Golbins are the things of nightmares, lurking in shadows, waiting to do horrific things to our kin, but at the end of the day, they are sub-human creatures who have no internal moral compass and cannot be expected to have any sense of right and wrong. We will slay them only as the animals they are.

But elves are rational beings, yet they choose to value their bloody trees and furry woodland creatures more than humanoid life! This is despicable! While they may try to befriend us and trade with us, we shall show them NO MERCY! Only if they bring us breeding pairs of awesome animals will we consider sparing their lives.

A-hem. Now that that's out of the way, is there any way we could use our thinly-veiled bigotry righteous indignation to (good-naturedly) torment WoW players and anyone who likes elves?  I'm not talking about anything really spiteful.

This thread made me hate DF Elves, sign me up.

Also, first random idea: Wouldn't it be fun in adventure mode (though, much later when the 400th version is released) to be able to visite some Elven hideouts (or whatever they are called) and start a fire there?

Like... in the middle of the night?

the fire imps in my fortress set fire whenever an elf comes to trade, the entire field is burnt down completely.

I think i read somewhere that elves in adventure mode just sit around in the middle of a forest and do nothing.

I saw an Elven Forest Lodge once, it was about the size of a basic Uman house
I have absolutly no idea how it came about.

Yep.

Unfortunately, while you can set trees on fire in adventure mode, the trees will eventually stop burning and will be exactly the same as before; you can actually use trees as walls in a magmaduct in the current and previous versions.
