So, little robot girl team vs Badass Super Soldiers? But you have to play as the little girls?

Actually after looking it up, it's robot girl team VS evil clone robot team. So it's like a hyper cute all girl war where no one actually gets hurt. Kinda like if Advance Wars just dropped any of the seriousness it attempts to have.

Someone should make a game that takes place in a world where 98% of people over the age of 7 mysteriously died a few years ago. You can either control the insane feral children packs, or a group of survivors. I read a short story about something like that. It was one of the most badass stories I have ever laid eyes on.

There's a pen & paper role-playing game that works more or less like that: there's some virus that turned pretty much everyone in the world over 8 (or some age) years old or whatever into horrible monsters/zombies/something. So the players are all children with guns and stuff... but they eventually will grow up and become the enemy.

I can't remember. I can't remember it's author, either. I'll tell you if I find the book it's in.

Could it be "The Girl who Owned a City"?  Haven't read, but my ex gushes about it frequently.  Virus kills off everyone over the age of twelve, genius girl takes charge of a group in a very Ayn Randian style and becomes essentially the god-emperor of her band of kids, fighting off other groups, and protecting and feeding them.

Though that wasn't a short story.

That sounds absolutely fucking horrible. Never mention that book to me again.

This one is markedly less retarded. Aliens kill everyone over some certain age, and the protagonist is a man who avoided death because he just so happened to be working his horrible sewer sanitation job while everyone else was busy dying. He lives alone, and is horribly lonely. I won't give away anything else. It wasn't some godlike masterpiece, but it was still awesome.

Wait, he's left with nothing but defenseless kids and he's lonely?

What a wasted opportunity on his part.

Yes.  He could adopt them and raise them.  CLEARLY THIS IS WHAT SNIPER JOE MEANT.

The idea is that the kids were left by the aliens because they were too young to really have any concept of human society. They basically become vicious animals. The author doesn't even explicitly say that they're human children until near the end, if I remember correctly. I wouldn't have spoiled that part, except I doubt that I'll be able to find this.

I suppose you could imagine the aliens in xcom as zombies:-)

I think someone made a zombie mod for Jagged Alliance too.

There's an Evil Dead module for Fallout Tactics.

Your party consists of only one person 'though.

Anyone ever play SWAT 2?
It was ... kind of a tactical game...

I say "kind of" because it was a sucky tactical experience-
Regardless, I always wished that Swat 3 would have been a sequel to Swat 2.
I like the premise.

Anyone know of any other games that put you in control of some police/SWAT elements like that?
and/or in charge of the criminal side?

I've always wanted a good game that let me rob banks that incorporate the chance for 'things to go wrong' resulting in possible police standoffs - or to be the police on the other side.

SWAT 2 did this- just poorly.
