More prone to freaking out over little things, and throw in an imaginary friend who tells him to do insane stuff for laughs.

The imaginary friend would be a 'Schitzo' personality trait, but I can handle the freaking out thing two ways.  I can just drop composure, meaning he freaks out over normal things more often, or there can be a specific trait where he'll need to make a composure check over some 'little' things, as you put it.

I say ditch the freaking out and go schitzo.

A final detail:  What sort of 'crazy stuff' will this entity of dubious morality suggest?  Violence is good, healthy fun.  Though not necessarily conducive to a long-term character.

The "freaking out" it could be obsessive compulsive disorder I guess? Said character would receive composure for adjusting "little things", and lose it if they are left unattended.

I could put that in, if you like.  I could definitely make that work, though it would make it take longer to write out the actions.  After all, I'm supposed to make him notice otherwise inconsequential things.

What do you think?

The torches have to be turned the right way in their holders. Stuff like that. General waste of turn stuff.

Anyone else on the schitzo thing?  Could go for the normal violent urges or whatever, but originality usually doesn't hurt anyone.

I vote for an invisible friend a la Fight Club's Tyler Durden.

A voice that keeps trying to get him to perform "dark magic", a voice that urges him to rape every woman he sees, a voice that tells him to do extremely violent things and a small voice that advises him to not listen to the other ones. How does that sound?

Get rid of the rape one and I could do that.  Might be amusing to decide how he tries to do dark magic, though.  That would probably involve sacrifices.

DVD.  Or Torrent.  Or book.  Or hell, TVTropes.  It's only one of the coolest movies of modern times, with the wicked twist that everybody should already know.

I'll look into it when I have a chance.  No other suggestions for psychological attributes at the moment?

Seriously, look into it. One of my favorite movies, and I think having a imaginary friend like Tyler would be fucking sweet.
