This is about orientation, not more detailed tastes. furries are still adult sentient males/females, just happens to have a bit more body hair, and thus falls under hetero/bi/homo.
(As a furry, I also take the opportunity to point out that only a portion (large minority) of the furry fandom has it as a sexual fetish.)

That's besides the point, the point is that per definition they are ANTHROPOMORPHIC, it's closer to an extreme form of how some people consider say red haired people more attractive.
