[OS X 40d11] Wounded wagon driver
« on: June 12, 2009, 01:38:40 pm »

So, a human caravan arrives at Fenceshocked from the wrong side and proceeds to circle half the map to get to the depot. In the middle of its journey, it runs into an ambush; the goblins are quickly killed, but not before one of the wagon drivers gets his leg mangled. His wagon then slows to a crawl, taking weeks longer than the others to reach the depot. I could understand that he maybe wants to avoid bouncing his leg around too much, but shouldn't the driver's injuries not affect the speed of the wagon? The wagon and both horses were not injured.

I've often noticed that, after being attacked, merchants and their animals will crawl everywhere. I don't know why they do this and why they don't just stand up. Did the pack animals pulling the wagon have a sort of puke-yellow background? That indicates that the creature is prone (lying down), which drastically reduces speed.

No, I'm pretty sure they were still standing. I'll check when they leave the depot to see whether the wagon's still slow and to verify that they weren't prone.

EDIT: NVM, wagon now moving at normal speed. Must have been prone.
