I was like "WTF!" at the last boss fight. Did NOT see that coming in the least. I always thought he was way to badass to die. And I'm not talking about Alex!

Interestingly, Armok's name actually originates from arm_ok, a variable in one of Toady's earlier games that kept track of how many of your arms weren't missing.

Except for the Specialist, he kicked my ass around that hive till I finally just kept cheap shotting him with the whip arm.

Leonon: Yeah, I agree. I think the plot is excellent and they put a lot of thought into it. Our beloved L4D hunter protagonist isn't two dimensional like most dude game heroes and it was fairly interesting to play through. Sure, the game isn't perfect by any means but it certainly isn't bad or difficult to play.

I enjoy how the story is told in bite sizes. Different viewpoints are interesting and it's nice that you have to piece the story together instead of having a few guys drone on and on about mundane elements. I like how one moment you're witnessing the ethos of Blackwatch, then how a military grunt responds to Blackwatch's strategy (wishing for his turn at killing everything), then the real reason behind the strategy, etc. etc. etc. How a Blackwatch sargeant explains to a grunt that the military is there to take the fall for everything but they end up being represented as the heroes.

And yeah, it's great how gameplay logic = story logic. You use all the cool abilities you see in the videos and the bosses all are boss-like without breaking the flow. Everything works the same way.

Story complete. Yay.

Don't you just hate it when the military shoots your Web targets just before you grab 'em?

Oh I got that one on my first try. The key is to run away and absorb the random citizen/infected running around to get to critical mass then run up to Elizibeth and do a devastator, preferably the spike one.

I hope to god you all entered the one cheat code for this game. You know, the one that gives you the body surfing ability.

That had better not be a cheatcode.  They show that move all the time.

Also, does anyone have any tips for keeping your XBox cool?  I just finished the first hunter mission and I've had the game since like 6.  It keeps overheating and locking up.

Keep it horizontal instead of vertical, the air intake is on the opposite side as the harddrive so when it's vertical it can't properly intake air. You may also want to buy an external USB powered fan.

If your 360 no longer has RROD/Error 74 warranty then you might want to open it up and (A)Tape the plastic air vents to the heatsinks to get better airflow and (B) mod the internal fans to run at 12V instead of the stock 5(will make your 360 noticeably louder). If you want to have this done but don't know how or don't trust yourself to do so then you may want to check Ebay for people offering modding services (CHECK SELLER FEEDBACK!).

If your 360 is still under RROD/Error 74 warranty and doesn't have the new cooling system (1-2.5 year old unmodded systems would fall in this category) you may (if you're sufficiently crazy) want to remove the harddrive and intentionally overheat it to the point of it RROD'ing or Error 74-ing so you can send it in to be repaired and upgraded. This is rather extreme though and I wouldn't suggest it.

It'll probably be fine if you just have it horizontal and out where it can get airflow though.

Got it horizontal and it's still freezing.  The heat is mostly in the back of it.  It used to be the power brick causing it to overheat, but now it's the 360 itself.

It's not, you can buy it after a certain mission and after you unlock certain abilities.

You might want to buy an external fan for it. You can find a few different options here and here.

If you have a spare PC power supply and a few spare PC fans you can rig up a ghetto external cooling system by plugging the fans into the PC power supply and running a wire from the green wire on the power supply's motherboard plug to any black wire on the same plug.

Partially fixed it by installing to the hard drive.  Maybe that's taking some of the load off of the parts that are overheating?

Anyway, this game is great, but it's the little things that make it fantastic.  Like the unflappable humor of the Blackwatch agents(I'm looking at you, guy who's glad he didn't save on retirement), or the persistent voices of unimportant characters(If a helicopter pilot has a southern accent when he's responding to a strike request, he'll always have one, none of that weird voice-switching thing like the beggars in Oblivion.  The military chatter overall is wonderful, and it really makes you feel like a hardcore mofo when you can hear their individual reactions to everything you do.  It's too bad the civilians weren't as well done.
