Is there any chance you can put that in a zip file instead of RAR?

Same here. .rar files never seem to work for me.
zip is much less likely to become corrupted.

Thanks for this!

I used a 3x6 embark extending three more to the west.

The gravity defying olivine Barracks/Entrance tower has been constructed jutting out of the side of the waterfall.  The sally port tower is steadily rising from the depths of the upper river(aquafier disaster barely diverted) and the lower docks are being constructed.  Need to sort out my production better first though, stick a pick into the magma pipe, and find some metals because I'm about to seriously piss off the elves to construct The Hammerqueen* paddle boat.

I'll post some pics after work tomorrow if I can get any of the visualizers to work.

*needs a better dwarfy/steamboat name.

The Hammerqueen sounds like a nightclub for gay steel mill workers.

Nice!

Hammerqueen is being constructed.  Completely out of copper.
This is right after the winter thaw so next year we'll finish sealing off and pump out the below decks

She's modeled of off civil war ironside steamboats but with paddlewheels in the back.

here are the plans i'm working off of.  It's color coded according to my own whim so maybe you can figure it out.  Any suggestions welcome.

the red is fortifications, orange is ramps, green stuff is mechanical, black walls, pink ballista, and the blue stairs.

Did anyone ever upload it? I'm genning another map for some reason, although I've been able to find a large waterfall I'd still like to get the one in the topic.

Hello everyone

I spent a whole day trying to recreate this thing anywhere, but got no luck. The World with waterfall was generated in 40d11 with custom mods and graphical set, and only this package seems to gen the right world. When i tryed 40d16 with the same mods, it would open the saved file, but is unable to regen the same world from the same seed. I also tryed to regen world with 40d11 and some MORE mods, and it gets me the same - totally wrong - world no matter which mods i do use (40d16 gives *another* wrong world).

I was hoping to get in an Ice Mod or Glass Beds mod, but, afaik, that's not going to happen :(

Genning it with different mods simply isn't going to give you the same result.

Graphical set and version (40d16 vs 40d11) shouldn't make a difference, though.  But, yeah, you're not going to get this site with glass beds or whatnot.

Also, you can manufacture vomit at a smelter.  Subsequently removing the smelter spews vomit over a surprising area.

You all do know that we everytime we gen a world in DF, a new universe is created somewhere, and everytime we delete a save we kill a whole world?
Aye, we are Armok, god of blood, evil, villager gutting, fortress building, legend making and elf thongs.

that's what you say, but trying to gen in 40d16 with THE SAME mods as were in 40d11 is not going to produce the right world no matter what i do. i even just copyed a whole Objects folder to make sure the mods settings are absolutely identical, but that did not worked too.
p.s. tryed with vanilla 40d, by the way - with and without custom mods from 40d11 and it produces the same world as 40d11 when i apply other mods to it, i.e.  the wrong world.

probably the graphical set has to do something with it after all, or i don't know what else.

Save works...Well after some modifications...And by that I mean i stole the save, and copied the text of the modded creatures.

It's boring. I have no enemies but a fox who killed a jewler who i sent to kill him when he pulled the jewler into the water.

Ima make a aboveground city becuase i've always wanted to try.
