To everyone who was asking if characters get more than one vote, the answer is no. Each person gets one vote, and the two with the highest votes will be on the council. This is probably a bad system, but I wasn't expecting two council seats in the first election, so I didn't have time to think of something else. Once the council members are in, they can decide on a new voting system for the next election.

Could I get the camp's animal roster and Frances' relationships, pretty please?

List of animals in the camp:
3 stray dogs, one of whom is named George
Cat owned by Gaweir
Bull owned by Gaweir
Cat owned by Expendable Earl
Donkey owned by Expendable Earl
Two stray muskoxen (breeding pair)
Three stray muskoxen calves (future food supply)
Two mules owned by Burger
Kitten owned by unnamed refugee
Donkey foal owned by Frances
Mule owned by Frances
Horse foal owned by unnamed refugee

Frances has a passing acquaintance with most of the camp members, but no friends or lovers.

Here is Octavio's profile:

I'll write an introduction for him as soon as I get some free time.

Are the cat and the kitten of differing genders?

If so, Frances will either be very happy or very sad- either there'll be lots of cute little kittens around, or the farm plots will be abandoned and the survivors will live off cat meat.

Frances was feeling down. Some wiseass had defiled her beautiful poster- that picture.. It was so cruel, she couldn't bear to look at it any more.
She went to speak with her pet mule- it seemed he
(she?) was the only one who listened any more.
'Oh, Jibbles. Nobody is listening to me. They think murdering our friends is funny!'

incoherent mumbling and sobbing for a while...

'I didn't want to do it! I had to! I was going to starve, and his arm was just there... trapped under the rubble.. i only took one bite, Jibbles, it's not my fault! IT'S NOT MY FAULT!

*OOC* Feel free to have your characters 'overhear' this, by the way.

Oh, and I vote for me. Naturally.

Cranefly's journal: Lousy good-for-nothing evil corporate bastards. Won't let me come back. So I exposed their precious CEO's little secrets, big deal. It's not like I haven't done things for them; like that time I saved all those 'captains of industry' who had the good (for me) luck to get themselves stuck in a cave surrounded by infected. Well, they says I can come back when they finish the books. But that'll take ages! Especially in this dead-end town.

On another note: I ran into that Frances guy talking to a mule. Interesting stuff. Made me hungry, which reminds me, I haven't had any meat in a while. Man, potatoes are boring.

Sounds to me like Frances needs a reality check on where many animals live :D. And that wouldn't have been pathos. He would have grabbed a passing puppy, carved it into nice sized portions (euthanasia optional), and then arranged them artfully on the poster, with the carving knife skewering each part! Then he would have taken the decapitated head, taken another carving knife, and skewered it and an apple (or a potato reddened through other means), and stuck THAT to the poster. ;) Much more artistic, and he does so love what he views as art. Then again, he might have been in a hurry, and just drew that there as a reminder of what to do when he gets some free time-when he can take his time.

Edit: No, pathos is the sick one-I've just written a slightly psychotic character in the past, so I have an idea of how to arrange their actions on the "crossing the line twice" scale. Pathos does that deliberately (on my part, for him it's just the way he is)

That. Was. Beautiful

Louis' Journal.

I don't know why I'm keeping this. Nothing ever happens in this place anymore. We have an election coming up. I entered, hoping that my ideas could be used to help the people. Of course, the damned political bastards from pre-I-Day ruined that venture for me; everyone thinks my words are politics, which they have forgotten is worthless in a world where the most power you'll ever have is deciding the decorations and growing seasons of a camp the size of the average warehouse, at best.

Frances is going insane. Caught her talking to a mule, she called Jibbles. (Made me think of giblets. Damn, I could make mashed potatoes and gravy if I could find some fucking chickens to make the gravy...) She said something about being trapped under a rock, biting something. I should update my poster, the first thing on my to-do list is make sure Frances doesn't go PETA on us and start "liberating" our food supply.

I'm a little curious, what relationships does Louis have?

I'm also curious, does pathos even HAVE any relationships beyond passing aquaintance? And what does the camp look like now?

Are the cat and the kitten of differing genders?

Yes. I usually try and slaughter any uninterested kittens as soon as I notice them, to avoid catsplosions.

I'm a little curious, what relationships does Louis have?

He is friends with the original seven, as well as Bob, Expendable Earl, Pathos, Gaweir, and Bill.

I'm also curious, does pathos even HAVE any relationships beyond passing aquaintance? And what does the camp look like now?

Pathos actually has a lover, an unclaimed female refugee. Apart from that, he is friends with Okenido, Bob, Ein, Bill, Jenn, Indri, Louis, Earl (the student), and Gaweir.

I'll upload the map once I have time to write a couple journal entries regarding new features.

My character is seems to be married.

Yes, and churning out survivorbabies like there's no tomorrow.

What relationships does Cranefly have?

He is utterly friendless. Also, he did get his cabinet (bauxite) and is currently waiting for it to be hauled to his room.

October 13th, 2019
Another trade caravan stopped by the camp today. This one was from a former military base west of here. As such, they had access to some high-quality weapons. We managed to trade them some clothing for a submachinegun and some armor, as well as a few wheels of cheese. Finally, something to put on the potatoes. Now if only we had salt and sour cream...

October 14th, 2019
A horde of Infected is passing through the area. We've had to seal up the base, which the military fellows aren't too happy about. A couple of them tried to make a run for it and were quickly devoured. Those who stayed inside assisted us in wiping the Infected out from the battlements. They don't seem to have much actual experience against the Infected. From what I gather, the area around their base is heavily booby-trapped, so it's rare that they actually come face to face against an Infected. Their weapons were much more effective than ours, though, and we were soon able to clear out the majority of the horde.

October 20th, 2019
We've enlisted some new recruits for the militia. Of them, one seems especially promising; a markman named Octavio. We'll have to see if he can prove himself in combat.

November 1st, 2019
Frances has created a somewhat disturbing piece of furniture for the barracks. It's a gun rack depicting brave heroes of the Survivor's Council shooting apart Infected. It seems to be helping morale though, so I'm all for it.

November 18th, 2019
We've begun expanding the underground sleeping quarters as part of the project to improve living conditions in the camp. The old barracks room was getting a little crowded with all the cots strewn everywhere. With the new extensions, everyone will finally get some privacy. We've also started thickening the walls to make sure no Infected get through.

The Events of November 25th, 2019
Indri flicked on the light in the workshop cautiously. No one had seen her slip out of the barracks and steal the materials from the storage shed. She had work to do tonight. Important work. She laid her equipment down on the workbench, pulled out a knife and a welder's torch, and began to work...

Hours later the sun was beginning to creep up through the windows. It was nearly 6 AM, but she had finally finished her masterpiece. It was a beautiful shotgun barrel, made of high-density polycarbonate and encrusted with precious gems. She had decided to name it Quemer Hethre, after the brave survivor who was one of the first to die at the camp while fighting the Infected. Once she'd found a stock to fit to the barrel, she was going to blow those Infected fu-... well... She was going to get her revenge. She quietly crept back into her room, laid the barrel behind a cabinet, and crawled back into bed beside Deathlord. He hadn't even stirred.

Dammit, now I have to try to make that rack mean something.

Hear me, survivors all! This work of stone is a proclamation!

Not all animals are good and friendly! Some, such as the Infected, and those Corporate slavers, are nothing but moving vegetables! Your bloodlust will not go unsated! VOTE FOR FRANCES!
