can i get the rundown on the gods of this place outta curiosity? and the details on the zombie mod?

By gods I assume you mean the deities the survivors worship in their profile screens?

Idur Velvetsmiles the Poetic Greenness - takes the form of a female survivor and is associated with inspiration and painting
Tequil - male survivor, truth, war, and chaos
Batow - female survivor, trade
Kege the Buckles of Sloshing - male survivor, family
Quistra - female survivor, sun, light, and freedom

As for the zombie mod, it's written by Neoadept. The thread for it is here. I highly recommend checking it out. I added in a couple of custom modifications for this story, mainly concrete and some weapons/armor (which turned out not to work. guess i should test before i start projects like this.)

Remember people. Me and TNME know how to pump out the journal entries (and believe me, I can write, no matter how idiotic I might act) so you should add into the mix.

Journal entries are a good way to add a spin to the story, and if the author's with it (like Jackrabbit) he might even find a way to add these sub-plots into the story.

Practice your writing skills as much as you can, anyway you can, 'cause when you start your own stories or community forts, it'll come in handy.

I actually had a subplot all planned out for Carl, and then he decided to fetch himself a shiny new pair of shoes.  >:( Ah well. He will continue it from... beyond the grave! OOOOoooOOO!

I just thought of something: are there any radio towers and the like still functioning?

All the old infrastructure is probably decayed, but the Corporates and Military have access to their own. Definitely no public radio broadcasts, if that's what you're thinking. (except maybe local HAM operators)

Journal Entry 2, Gaweir Orsidious

Heh, you probably shouldn't mess with Okenido. She's pretty much the most badass survivor in the camp, in terms of raw stats, after I had her clearcut the entire map.

By the way, Gaweir and Uci are both champion marksmen now.

If you're still accepting new "players", I'll take a slot in the next immigrant wave.

"Fenner", male, hunter or fisher if possible, with SMG  skill for combat.  Shell-shocked ex-military from before I-Day.  Turned mountain-man after it happened, taking to the wilderness as a lone nomad/nut, trying to stay up where the air is thinner and the Infected don't feel inclined to go.  Surprised to find any survivors, he sticks with the next wave on into the fort.  Preferable if his profile is unbalanced sounding, especially loner stuff  ;D

I am, but I have no males. Would you rather wait until one turns up, or take a female?

September 1st, 2018
A steady stream of refugees has been filtering into our camp over the past month. Apparently word is spreading across all over the surrounding area that our camp is the safest place in the Virginia area after the fall of the Council. Normally, I'd be concerned about our ability to feed all these people, but the potato crop was especially good last spring. We should have enough potato rations to last months. Of course, they'll all be expected to work. One is a cook, which means the potato soup will finally be less runny. I'm a chemical engineer, not a chef. Others from all walks of life; A solider, a police officer, a librarian, and a teacher. This brings the total population count to 23 survivors. We'll have to make more sleeping bags.

September 4th, 2018
That new librarian is a strange one. She calls herself "Booky" for some reason. I guess she really likes books. Yesterday, I saw her in Ein's "office" (a chair in the middle of the corridor). They were talking frantically about the fractal geometries of storage bins or something. They seemed to be getting along pretty well. I hope Okenido doesn't get jealous.

September 10th, 2018
Our camp is beginning to grow rapidly. I've been serving as the de-facto camp of the leader for the past two and a half years, but the responsibility is beginning to get to me. People keep asking me when we're going to get real guns, take on the Infected, save the world, find food that isn't potatoes. They don't realize I'm just an ordinary person like they are. I can't do magic. I've talked at Gordon about it, and he agrees (I think) that the best thing to do is begin to reform the Survivor's Council. We'll ask for applications from members of the camp, and vote for our leaders democratically. It's the best way to avoid conflict in the camp, since everyone feels like they get a part in the decision.

Okay, Jenn is now accepting applications for the Survivor's Council! Here's how it works: Come up with a campaign for your character and post how they try and get the other members of the camp to vote for them.
Next Friday (June 19th), voting will begin. All members of the camp will vote, even if person who requested them doesn't post a vote.
In that situation, I'll pick who I think they would vote for from a roleplaying perspective. The council will have one seat for every 20 members of the camp, and will cycle out on a regular basis, although I'm not sure how often that will be. Members of the council will make important decisions regarding the direction of the camp. First on the agenda: the camp name!

I'll wait.  It'll make arrival more fun if the character is "fresh", so to speak.

And entirely mad looking, with a scruffy beard, unkempt hair and appearance, and rawhide clothing.   ;D

Aww, I thought Cranefly would worship Tequil, who is possibly the most fitting god possible.

Cranefly's journal: So that escaped extra from deliverance is running for leader is he? Can't say that I think much of his poster, or for that matter, his followers. Still, he's honest, if stupid and he has a good view on 'the issues'. I think I'll vote for him; that is, if I vote.

On a much less inbred-hillbilly-infested note: we got a cook. Maybe I'll be able to get something other then potatoes to eat for once. On the other hand, we got one of those thugs that still call themselves 'the law' and a god-damned soldier. Which begs the question: did one of those mudholes they call shelter get a little bit of a virus problem? Or did he just get lost while on patrol? Better find out.

I uploaded the map to the DFMA. It's not much to look at now, but you can see it here

Cranefly's journal: Someone got the tower up. But it appears that the tower near The Whorehopper must've gotten knocked out, damn. At least I managed to get a photo of this area, which I plan to put up in the mess hall.

You should build a watchtower with underground access in the center where the old drawbridge was.

We ought to pave over the pools in front of the camp and build watchtowers there.
