A hammer dwarf, male-one that takes joy in the slaughter (this can be arranged rather easily). His civilian occupation should be hunting-with a hammer if possible.

This is a modded version of the game, there are no dwarves (or hammers- they've been replaced with crowbars). Also, all the males are taken. I can give you a female if you'd like.

Fine by me-and a crowbar is fine too.
Backstory: Slaughtered the infecteed that attacked the asylum she was held in. It's not clear whether or not she discriminated between the living and the undead, but regardless by the end everything in the asylum apart from her was dead and/or inanimate. Name her "Psychy" or "Pathy".

November 9th, 2015
All the members of the expedition have been assembled. There is a 7-man core team of volunteers along with a detachment of trained soldiers who are escorting us. We are to form a convoy of vehicles traveling north until we reach the mountains. The volunteers and I will be driving an old pickup truck that someone salvaged from somewhere. God knows where they found gasoline for the thing, but we should have enough for the trip.
The volunteers are a mixed bunch. I wrote quick notes on each of them.
Okenido: She was a contractor in her old life. Her experience in carpentry and construction should be useful in determining the best way to fortify the new area.
Deathlord: A former architect. Along with Okenido and the others, he'll help with designing the bunkers. Apparently when the Infected came through, he blasted his way out of the city with a group of other survivors, so his combat experience should come in handy.
Psychy: Psychy isn't her real name, of course. The others call her that because she escaped from an insane asylum during I-Day. Personally, I can sympathize with her desire to kill Infected... I'm glad she and her crowbar are on this expedition with us.
Louis: He survived in the woods for three months alone after I-Day, with only a sword to hold off the infected. Eventually he found his way to Camp Four and shared what he'd learned with us. He's along to assess the food supply in the new area, as well as lend a hand in defending the caravan.
Labs: Apparently was some type of biologist before I-Day. His knowledege of botany will come in handy if we run low on food.
Ein: Camp Four's resident mechanic. Seeing as how the pickup is one of the only vehicles we own, he's along to maintain it and make sure nothing much happens to it. He's also got some skill with a sword, something most of us have had to learn since I-Day.

Then there's me. I'm not sure why they wanted a chemical engineer along on this expedition. Supposedly it's because of my skills in leadership, but I've never lead anything bigger than a Girl Scouts club. Hopefully I won't make too big a mess of things. We'll leave at the end of this month.

November 30th, 2015
We're now several hundred miles outside of Camp Four. So far, Infected sightings have been few and far between. A couple of the soldiers escorting us have been riding in the pickup bed with sniper rifles, picking off lone Infected in the woods. No major hordes yet though, which is a godsend. We passed a convoy of Corporates heading out to the Survivor camps to trade. Their vehicles were heavily steel plated, and much nicer than ours. The bastards.

December 16th, 2015
For the past two weeks, we've not seen any living being. Or any Infected, for that matter. The lack of wildlife is troubling. We're almost to our destination though, so I'm trying not to worry too much about it.

December 20th, 2015
I was right to be worried. A few days ago, our caravan was attacked by a huge horde of Infected- one of the largest I've seen since I-Day. The military escort barricaded themselves behind their armored APC, but... There was a huge Infected, some kind of genetic mutant, who lifted the APC ten feet in the air and crushed them all to death instantly. We jumped in the pickup and drove... just started driving, without looking where we were going. We drove for most of a day like that, always looking behind us in fear that they would still be there.
Now we're miles off course... We have no compass, and no map. We shouldn't be more than a few hours drive from our destination, but what would we do once we got there? And how would we get back?

January 1st, 2016
Our pickup ran out of gas. We're at the foot of a mountain range somewhere. No idea if this is the right area, but we're stuck here until Camp Four sends someone out to look for us. We're going to have to spend the night here... most of us haven't slept in days. Fortunately there are plenty of trees around, so we should be able to build some temporary fortifications before the day is out. We'll need food too... we're down to just a few weeks worth of meat and water. There's a river nearby to supply us with water, but hopefully some of the nearby vegetation will be edible...

January 4th, 2016
Okenido has started felling logs to build temporary palisades around the pickup. It turns out those carpentry skills are going to come in handy a lot quicker than I thought. Deathlord has grabbed a shovel and started digging out foxholes for us to hide in. The Infected sense by smell, not sight, so I'm not sure how much good they'll do, but it'll make us all feel safer. The rest of us are out gathering wild fruits under Louis and Labs' instruction. It would be good to save our meat for as long as possible.

January 5th, 2016
Rain today. It's making being outside even more miserable. I wish we had a tent to sleep in. Or even a bedroll. Psychy brought the corpse of a goat she'd hunted down. Hopefully there are more out there.

January 13th, 2016
We've found some wild strawberries out in the foothills. Psychy also managed to trap and kill a fox. I've been spending the past few days helping Okenido with the palisades. Still no sign of rescuers from Camp Four. I realized they won't even know we're missing for another few months. We may be in this situation a lot longer than I expected.

January 15th, 2016

The camp got to see Psychy in action today. She tore a goat apart with her bare hands, just a few hundred yards away from where everyone else was working. She was literally gouging chunks out of the poor creature. It was a little unsettling, but meat is meat.

January 17th, 2016

Today was our first encounter with the Infected since we got here. Psychy encountered a pair of them near the mountain stream while out hunting. She managed to give them the slip but hopefully they won't find their way to our base. If they do... hopefully they don't have friends.

February 3rd, 2016
Psychy brought back some kind of dead monkey. Labs says it's a hoary marmot. I say it's gross. But I'll still eat it. Deathlord has hollowed out a sort of underground cave for us to keep our food in. The cool air should help it stay preserved longer, although flies are still a problem. Psychy also says there are cougars prowling around. As if Infected weren't enough to worry about.

February 12th, 2016

Okenido collapsed from exhaustion in the middle of the forest today while felling trees. We've really got to get some tents or something. It's been a month and no sign of Camp Four.

February 23rd, 2016

We found a heap of garbage halfway up a nearby hill. There were some ruined foundations further up. Apparently this used to be some kind of mountain resort back in the day. I started poking around in the garbage to see if I could find anything of value.

March 1st, 2016

Our palisades are complete! We'll all sleep a lot safer at night knowing the Infected won't be able to just devour us in our beds (well, if we had beds...). Ein even managed to rig up an ingenious system with gears salvaged from the pickup that raises and lowers a drawbridge. That combined with a moat should keep the Infected at bay pretty well.

March 22nd, 2016
Psychy's steady supply of meat is keeping our camp well stocked. We have enough rations now to last us another three months. But we shouldn't need that long. Camp Four should realize we're missing soon and send a helicopter after us.

March 26th, 2016
Louis climbed up a tree to scout the surrounding area today and spotted a cluster of Infected in the distance. They're apparently the same type that killed our soldiers: massively overmuscled and twice the size of a normal man. So far they haven't spotted us.

April 16th, 2016
Nearly another month has passed without much of note occuring. Boredom is beginning to set in at camp. Louis carved a chess set from goat bones and Labs and I have been playing every day. Psychy is really starting to worry me. She spends nearly all her time hunting. Thus far she has killed four goats, five foxes, six monkeys, and three deer. I know this because she has a habit of recording her kills by carving marks with a knife. The unsettling part is she usually carves them on her arms.

May 9th, 2016
Five months now and still no word from Camp Four. We've begun expanding our palisades outwards. Space inside the camp is becoming very cramped. I've done a survey of the local rock, and with the help of Deathlord and Okenido I think it'll be possible to make some sort of concrete out of it. That would provide us with far more protection than wooden walls.

May 16th, 2016

A startling turn of events today. While out hunting, Psychy stumbled and fell off a cliff into a lake. We found her body today. Not knowing how long it had been since she died, we quickly cut it apart and removed the brain. It usually takes a week or two for an Infected to rise, and we didn't want to take any chances. Ein is pretty shook up by the loss. I guess him and Psychy were good friends. Losing friends is something you get used to though. I'm sure he'll be fine. My concern is that without Psychy, it's going to be a lot harder keeping everyone fed. I'm considering planting the seeds meant for Camp Seven. We need them more than they do at this point. But that would mean conceding the fact that we're going to be here another seven months or so. I'm still holding out for hope of rescue.

Last update for tonight:

June 1st, 2016
Deathlord has mined a tunnel connecting our food supply to the main camp. If we're attacked by Infected, we can raise the bridge and hopefully last long enough on our food reserves for help to arrive. He's also started work on a drawbridge for the cave we keep the food in, so that it can be sealed in an emergency as well.

June 22nd, 2016

Deathlord came to me today to complain about the conditions at the camp. It's true that living conditions are less than ideal, but honestly we're not much worse off here than we were at Camp Four. His suggestions included hollowing out sleeping quarters underground, to protect us from the rain, and the construction of a well, so we'll have a water supply in case the Infected attacked. I gave him permission to begin constructing these things. Unfortunately, we don't have the equipment to dig down to the water level from here, so instead we're going to try diverting the river through an aqueduct.

June 27th, 2016

Success! With Louis's tireless cranking, we've managed to mix and pour a test batch of concrete. This should help with Deathlord's aqueduct project considerably. I'd also feel much safer sleeping in a reinforced concrete bunker.

Gaweir
Male
Riot Officer working a detail under Camp Four, who has had some bad luck in the past. He messed up a patrol which got his partner...erm...a bit eaten. Just a little. In any case, he hasn't bounced back, and now that he's been taken off the detail, he doesn't have much to do besides dicking around scavenging a bit, avoiding undead to bring back a piece of gaudy trash someone who still has money is willing to pay for, or working odd jobs just for a days meal. Finally, he'd gotten enough of it, figuring he would be better off with the undead, then staying in the Camp, he heard of the expedition. Only he was late. So trailing after, shotgun in hand, this tough customer isn't in a very good mood.
Profession: Soldier. Shotgun.
Tactics: Shoot the hell out of whatever's not living or human, and when they get to close for comfort, crack 'em with the butt of his shotgun. Its sound enough a tactic, and even better when shooting from behind a concrete fortification.

Put me in with the next immigrant wave. Give me one with an appropriately badass personality please.

Whoops. Guess I should really check Wikipedia before assuming anything. Well, I'll just chalk it up to Psychy mangling the corpse so badly that no one could tell what it was.
