Carved into a concrete wall, well out of normal traffic, is a bunch of scribbling, some of it conherent writing, others just what might have been writing.

Diary of Earl McDanel

So yah... Evidently I got here just in time for the campers to be running elections. I swear to the gods, I never should have left the Pacific Northwest... My Z-Day plans where all set up to work there. Oh well. I am still alive at least. And hey, no one has given me any hassle about carving the piles of spare stone into... Well, can't call them statues, but no other world fits 'em. I have gotten a few kudos from others, so I guess I should just keep it up between target practice.

I have been pushing, as best I can, to get some sort of metal industry going. Not for guns, the zippers work just fine. We need some actual bullets! These little BBs made of wood and bone just don't cut it! Hell, I am surprised they don't just splinter to shards when they leave the barrel!

Gods above, I would kill for a smoke....

The scribbling ends on that note, leaving the tall redhead leaning against the wall, chewing on the stem of an old wood pipe, looking longingly into the empty bowl.

Cranefly grows drugs, and he might just be willing to sell some....

Then perhaps we could make some form of arrangement.

If he wanted to do that, he wouldn't hide it. I'm not sure what he'd want, because there isn't that much he really likes, or is available.

If I could get a survivor?

Frances. Doesn't matter which gender, but it needs to be a survivor with a pet. Was crazy vegan save-the-world before I-day, and has retained her morals.
No particular job, just hauling and whatever else you need, maybe farming. NOT woodcutting or butchery, unless we want some delicious 'hate-this-job'ery from Frances.
Try to get a survivor with an annoying personality profile, as I'm trying to make a character everyone hates.

I'll put up a election poster in the morning, nobody respond to it until my character is officially 'in' the story, or we'll get people somehow telepathically communicating with me.

Cheers.

"Pathos: Feeding the camp with his bare hands since arrival. By ripping out the throats of mountain goats and killing many small, furry animals in very artistic ways, he has been the bedrock of your survival. Vote for Pathos: It isn't insanity, it's ART!"-Pathos, shouting in the center of the cap while brandishing zip guns. Three of them.

OoC: How are you going to have the council affect the path of the camp?

From Mr. Welch's 1350 things he is not allowed to do in a RPG:
148. There is no Gnomish Deathgrip, and even if there was, it wouldn't involve tongs.
171. My character's dying words are not allowed to be "Hastur, Hastur, Hastur"
218. No matter my alignment, organizing halfling pit fights is a violation.
231. I am not allowed to do anything that would make a Sith Lord cry.
240. Any character with more than three skills specializing in chainsaw is vetoed.

OoC: How are you going to have the council affect the path of the camp?

Basically I'd like the members of the council to act as advisors as to what should happen next. They'd be making the decisions from a roleplaying perspective, so they wouldn't know anything the characters didn't know, but they could decide to, say, declare war on the Corporates in order to steal their precious weapons, or whatever.

Voting starts tomorrow, so everyone please PM me your vote. PM me if your character is choosing to abstain from voting as well, otherwise I might think you haven't seen the voting thing and I'll end up choosing a vote for you.

Edit: Also, just to clear things up: each person gets one vote, and the two with the highest number of votes will become council members.

Fenner walks past the wall of posters and stops for a moment.  Still brandishing his firearm, as if unwilling to let it go in case someone takes it.  He spits onto the ground and walks away, talking to himself.  "Voting... voting is just a tool of evil, gives the devils the power, it does.  We don't need any voting around here, just end up ruining all of us, it will be the ruin of all humanity."

The dreams had been happening ever since he started keeping track of everything.
They started out simple at first.
A small short person with a beard was swinging a pickaxe at a wall of stone.
The stone was blue and looked very valuable.

The dreams started getting more and more odd as time went by.
He started to see tall, skinny, pointy-eared people.
They were burning.
Everything around them was burning.
Even the ground looked as if it were on fire.

The miner, however, continued to show up.
Until one day, he broke through the wall of valuable blue stone.
