Francis'll probably die off soon anyway.  He hates life.  And trees.  And bunkers.  And booze.  And food.  And surviving, and women, and men, and pills.  The only thing he does like, is the idea of vests (But he hates what they're made of).  I guess he's an Elf.

(As an aside, I have the fortune or misfortune of my voice pretty much sounding like Francis when my nose isn't acting up.)

Well.

If it sounds like Francis, we need to get you into a Left4Dead game with DFC so that you can confuse people.

"Did Francis just insult Yanlin's mother?!"

I've done that before.  Once went a whole No Mercy campaign constantly complaining about everything and saying I hated it.  Fun times.

IC: As Dohon strolls through the camp looking for a drink, he notices the 'politicians'. People more concerned being called a 'leader' than actually doing something useful. Sure, they all boast and make promises. But they also did that pre-I-day. It didn't save them or society as a whole. He sighs. It's all nice and dandy to be democratic, but not when you are surrounded by Infected and just a few heartbeats away from joining them!
He pauses.
Should he run for election and take care of this charade? He quickly shakes his head. He reckons he can be more useful using his hands instead of his tongue. Talking, arguing and being a voice of the people won't harvest the potato's or fortify the palisade, now will it?

It was all different at Uni when you didn't have a care in the world and he still fondly remembers the fun times of debating and arguing at the frat society. But representing the ragtag remnants of a society? No, not his forte, unless things really go to hell.
With a grunt, Dohon resumes his beeline for the nearest shot of vodka. "One strong leader, that's what we need, not this Council nonesense" he mutters under his breath. "Why even bother? Jenn is doing a good job in my book."

OOC: Please don't take this as an assault on your election idea, xaque. But in every society, you have the "just do it instead of talking about" mindset. Makes for some fun RP. :)

and you also have a 'I don't give a f***' mind set

from the Journal of Uci:
There's been talk about electing a council and people have been running for positions, sproting nonsense and hollow promises. Even after I-Day people are still viying for power no matter how small or insignificant.

I'm not going to run for, or even vote in the election. I don't want to be part of something that is in my point a useless amount of crud.

It's a good idea but my character is aganst leadership.

and can someone tell me were the spell check option in firefox is please?

No, I totally agree. There's also the "Yeah, well, I could do better" mindset, who'll try and run things even if they aren't in charge. The "I'm helpless without my group" mindset, etc. Hopefully all of them will show up at some point in the story. Zombies are what makes zombie movies awesome; group dynamics are what makes them interesting.

Also, sorry about lack of updates the past couple of days. I've been away from my desktop and unable to play. It should start up again by Wednesday.

Real life comes first, dude. I'm glad you don't mind my "rebel" rp. I do like the election idea and in real life, I'm not quite like Dohon. ;)

171. My character's dying words are not allowed to be "Hastur, Hastur, Hastur"
218. No matter my alignment, organizing halfling pit fights is a violation.
231. I am not allowed to do anything that would make a Sith Lord cry.
240. Any character with more than three skills specializing in chainsaw is vetoed.

Vote Ein for council.
We'll dig into the ground for rare and exotic ores and gems!
We'll grow giant mushrooms and create booze from them!
We'll dump magma on all who oppose us!
We'll grow beards!
Ein for council '18.

Also, I just noticed. You posted the gods of our civ, but we have no clue who the original 7 worship.

Vote Pathos! Just as you would poke someone's eyes out and as them to lead you in the dark, ask a madman to lead to you in times of insanity! A vote for Pathos is a vote for Corporate vs Infected pit fights, and lots of sharp, pointy objects stuck in the infected!

Cranefly's journal: Ah hell, might as well run since every two-bit upstart in this place is doing it.

Poster: (It appears to be an image of him, who dresses in a spider-Jerusalem like outfit with an additional derby, sitting in a chair in a darkened room with about a dozen tv's behind him with images of the infected) I'm not going to tell you a lot of bullshit about taking down the infected, or reclaiming the world, or even that whole pile of cap about fun or fancy food. What I will do is make us survive. No matter what happens I will make sure we survive, and even if I can't, I won't cover it up and I won't lie. I never lie, and you shouldn't expect me to tell anything other then The Truth. Vote Cranefly Thomson.

Once tried to conquer Earth, and succeeded! Too bad it got really, really boring, really, really fast.

One day, we shall all look back on this, and laugh. Sorry about the face, by the way, and the legs, and the eyes, and the arms. In fact, sorry 'bout the whole body.

Gaweir puts up a poster, which oddly enough is placed with the other campaign posters, but isn't actually suggesting he's running. But none the less, its still up there. It reads:

"Bollocks. I just want a smoke."

Samuels Scribbles.

Of all the things I was expecting to see in the camp I must admit to myself that campaign posters was way down the list.
Seems we're voting on a leader for ourselves its all very diplomatic, on a seperate note I really need to spend less time in the bunker as it seems this has been going on a few days. No one tells me squat I swear.
Anyways theres a whole shebang of posters up, all offering a different version of "Vote for me! We'll live longer!!".
Not sure what way I'll vote...lots of talk about naming the camp as well, my suggestion of "Camp Please don't frakkin eat us!" was met with some rather cold looks but I should have expected that I suppose.
Well better get off my rear and go pick up the pellets from the guys weapons practice, I swear its great we have trained people to protect us....I'm just not sure its healthy that one of them keeps shooting smiley faces in the target...

October 5th, 2018
One of the least pleasant tasks in the camp is that of garbage mining. It's nasty, but it has to be done, as it's our only source of plastic and aluminum, which are invaluable for making lightweight armor. We usually take turns, and today Dohan's turn came up. I felt bad when I handed the kid a shovel and told him he'd be spending the day knee-deep in muck, but he seemed excited at the prospect of helping out the camp and very nearly ran to the garbage heap, digging away furiously. I like his attitude.

October 28th, 2018
Burger brought me out to the carpenter's workshop today. She said she had something to show me.
"It's a casket, see?"
"I can see that. Where did it come from?"
"I made it myself."
"Why...?
"I want to be buried in it when- ...if I die."
"Burger... We're pretty well protected here. No one in the camp is in danger from the Infected."
"It's got a picture of me with some mules on it. I like mules. If the zombies get me, I wanna be buried in it."
"All right, I'll see what I can do..."
She's a strange woman.

January 11th, 2019
We've begun excavation of a new tunnel that will connect to a guardpost at the outskirts of camp. This should provide us with advance warning of any Infected attack, as well as being a convenient location for snipers.

January 15th, 2019
Okenido has given birth to another child, named Pesor. Her and Ein are taking this "repopulating the world" deal pretty seriously.

February 13th, 2019
A man staggered into camp today, brandishing an SMG (empty, fortunately) and ranting madly about "the legions of the damned". We nearly thought he was an Infected himself, while he was still a good distance away, and I almost had Uci put a bullet through his head. Once he was near enough to see that he wasn't Infected, we managed to calm him down a bit and he said he had brought a group with him. He gave the signal and nearly two dozen weary-looking survivors emerged from the surrounding forest. The man calls himself Fenner, and his most unusual feature by far is his beard. It is exceptionally long and messy. I'm pretty sure I heard birds chirping in there. One of his group is a biker named Francis. For some reason, he and Louis get along exceptionally well. It's strange, because they come from such different lives, yet it's almost like they know each other somehow...

March 2nd, 2019
Elections are coming up soon... I haven't given a lot of thought to my own campaign, mostly because I've been so busy actually overseeing the camp. I'm not even sure if I want to run. Part of the reason for the whole Council idea was to ease the burden so one person isn't stuck with all the responsibility. But... I can't just ignore the camp I worked so hard to create from almost nothing. And I'm worried some of the survivors might lose faith if they see me abandoning my role as leader. So, I've decided I have to at least make an effort. I have put up my own poster in the mess hall. Here is a copy of the poster. I'm quite proud of it.
