Wow, this is a good thread, I'm enjoying the story alot! The style of writing is terrific!

I would like to requisition a dwarf if that's possible

Name:Burger
Gender:Male Preferably, but female will do
Profession: Cook, but if there is too many right now, odd jobs will do
Backstory: Ex-Rationer from the army, Burger has been wandering since the destruction of the camps. He has no combat training, other than the fine art of running away, which he seems to be the grand master at.

One day when trying to find some wild strawberries to go with his Potato Seed and Potato Biscuits, he came across a strange almost campsite in the distance. He made his way towards it and... well, here he is!

This is great stuff. I'd like to request as well:

Female named Indri.

Middle aged divorcee, lived in the country, has shot guns before but not fought. Her children are grown and moved away. Has no idea if any of them live, doesn't expect to ever know. She heard about the Infection before the airwaves went dark and hunkered down until her town was overrun. She arrived with whatever group is convenient for you. Give her whatever job needs doing.

Name: Expendable Earl

Was a soldier at camp four before it was destroyed and has been out wandering looking for somewhere to go. He tried joining up with a caravan but was always commenting about how everyone is expendable, so they took his advice and gun and left him out in the wilderness.

Thanks for the Survivor, xaque! Like I scribbled down a bit earlier, Dohon will do every job that you toss him. Even if that means making him a Soap Maker. A dirty job indeed.

Entertaining so far, keep it up! Here, have a character.

Name: Booky
Gender: Female

A former libarian, she is uncomfortable with change, and on the one-year anniversary of I-day she abandoned her old name in hopes of moving on and forgetting the past. She is quiet and organized. When stressed, she becomes even more reclusive.

Over time, since I-day, she has become obsessed with numbers and statistics, always counting or measuring things in her spare time, no matter how insignificant it may seem. In the absence of paper and pencil, she will use any other means necessary to keep numbers and notes. She has been called crazy in the past, during a fit of boredom, when she estimated the number of grass blades present within a previous camp and wrote it on her left arm.

She is best suited to work as a record keeper, but her attention to detail makes her suitable for work as an engineer or building designer. Given no other options, she may also work as a manager, mason, carpenter, or similar crafting job.

Loving this story. I'd like to grab a survivor:

Name: Sven
Proffession: Marksman if possible, anything else if not.
Story: Sven was a small-town police officer before the outbreak. On I-Day, he and the rest of his precinct tried to evacuate the last survivors of the town into a nearby military base. Unfortunately for them, the gates of the installation had been sealed long before. Most of them were either torn apart by the infected or gunned down by the sentries. He's been bouncing around between survivor groups ever since, until now.

Remember people. Me and TNME know how to pump out the journal entries (and believe me, I can write, no matter how idiotic I might act) so you should add into the mix.

Journal entries are a good way to add a spin to the story, and if the author's with it (like Jackrabbit) he might even find a way to add these sub-plots into the story.

Practice your writing skills as much as you can, anyway you can, 'cause when you start your own stories or community forts, it'll come in handy.

I just thought of something: are there any radio towers and the like still functioning?

Radio Talk Show of the Undead.

Anyway.

Journal Entry 2, Gaweir Orsidious

Tackled that journalist today. He was snooping around the ramparts trying to scope out the place. I didn't mean to knock him OVER the edge, just rough him a little. He's fine, landed on Okenido...well he WAS fine until she beat the crap out of him. I would apologize, but I don't think he wants to talk to anyone right now. But otherwise, Okenido is none the wiser as to why a camera mook landed on her.

So I was messing with this crappy zip gun of mine. Truth be told there is NOTHING special about them. It fires beads, pumps out bone beads at zombies. Its not very effective unless you can shoot. I swear, if they make me keep using this thing, and if they don't start digging deeper for metal, I'll give them a piece of my mind. We need guns. And bullets. Not pump out ten thousand wooden and bone beads to kill a bunch of soft skin rotters.

...

Oh shit. Okenido's coming up the ramparts. BAILOUT. BAILOUT!

The journal ends abruptly with a few speckles of blood.

haha liking this forum

Journal of Gorgon:

...

Journal of Uci:
Damn it! This gun is useless, if the pellet doesn't get jammed in the gun it fires in a completly random direction. I think I'm going straight to Jenn and start demanding some metal if she wants me to actualy defend this little bastion.

I saw that Gaweir guy push off the journalist and land on Okenido. Apart from it being hilarous, it looked rather painfull, he was limping rather badly afterwards. Okenido came up the ramparts looking rather pissed, Gaweir bailed out which wasn't a bad idea and I followed suit, as she pssed I swear that her eyes were glowing red.

Found that journalist dude on the ramparts again, I was about to ask his buseness when he pulled out a cell phone and tried to make a call. This was entriging so I hid in the shadows and watched him for a while. He walke off, his phone probably wouldn't connect or something. He'll probably be back.
