It actually looks very koboldy.

I have a workshop.  It's the one down at -3Z, just below the door.

Oh, I see it now! I thought that was just a couple rocks there... my bad. In that case, I guess my 'shop is finished too...

>Make 3 mechanisims.

When i'm done, we'll have all the mechanisims we'll need for a dwarven atom smasher ;D.

This is actually kinda...I don't know, cute.

By the way, Dschinghis will be making another door, because we desperately need one before Lear breaches the chasm.  But first, like any normal dwarf, he's going to go eat and booze up.  ;D

I don't suppose we happen to have an aquifer or anything?

The dwarven economy is just a stand-in, from what I understand. As it is, it represents an actual economic system about as well as poison ivy represents a salad.

Oh and, This doesn't exactly follow DF standards.

Since I can make everything myself, You can make a LOT more at the mechanic's station.
Makes him more useful than the soapmaker. You can make (A small list):
Cage Traps (Atleast a shoddy one, a good one needs a cage, rope, and some food.)
Contraptions (HELL YEAH)
Gunpowder (For guns)
Pulley (To pull stuff, duh.)
Research (Unlocks possible new weaponry and stuff)

Good to know about the aquifer.

Can we do more than just our first profession?  Can we gain more skills.  Can we hope to aspire to emulate Morul, the Most Interesting Dwarf in the World?

Yes, you can.
