The second one... All I remember is it being the ending/credits sequence of a game, (possibly a 90's-era point and click), and all the characters were in a disco complete with the lighting changing colour and Bomb the Bass's 'Megablast' (also known as the Xenon 2 theme) playing. As I said, this may have been a dream.

I hope you will understand I mean no disrespect when I say that my hopes are not high.

Normality, maybe?

There was this old point-click mystery/adventure horror game..it had pixel-ish graphics, was set in a space ship if I'm not mistaken. The protagonist was female...I never played it but it popped in my mind just now and I wanna.

The White Chamber, sorry for the little necro.

it was a 2d multiplayer game, where you could play one of three classes: knight, archer and worker. The knight could throw bombs as well as hit things, the archer could climb trees and the worker was in charge of mining for gold and building fortifications, as well as destroying enemy fortifications and/ or modifying them for your team's benefit. Anyone know what that was?

He recently complained about having mysterious gunk all over his work clothes. I'm not saying it was necessarily that, but there's a good number of nasty chemicals that can get through your skin. On the other hand, the "terrified" comment suggests some sort of mental deterioration, maybe a hallucinogen or illness, temperature, really it could be a wide range of things.
Or he could just be drunk and lying.

Does anyone remember those old linux games which mostly started with the letter "x"?

I remember playing a simple 2D top-down space shooter game on early Red Hat distros. I'm not sure whether it was multiplayer or not, but I do think you had to launch the server separately from the client.
The actual game was white on black (IIRC) polygonal art. You controlled a spaceship in a small corner of the universe where there's plenty of various-sized asteroids and other spaceships which wanted you dead. IIRC you couldn't land on the asteroids. Not sure whether there were powerups available or not.

There were also breakout and minesweeper and digdug clones, i think called xblock and xbomb and xdug or something like that.  I might have those wrong, cant find their articles.

For a min I thought it might be xkobo, but probably not.

Actually, I'm pretty sure it didn't have a server, nevermind.

I'm pretty sure it was xpilot, but i'm often wrong on guessing these.

Black and white line art, client server mode.  It now has an iphone client and some color and fresh features and stuff if you are looking at the NG fork, or the classic fork stays pretty true to the original.

It's xpilot!
It has progressed quite a lot since the last time I've played.

Thanks for the help.

I'm trying to remember this adventure game.

It was all about pirates, and it was using 3d grapghics. It was sometime during mid late 90s.

You were a scrub pirate. And you had this seasoned sea dog that becomes your friend and teaches you the rope. He said this one line in the early part of the game, that really stuck with me all these years.

"I'm gonna find something smaller then myself and eat it."

There was a mini game, for dodging. Where he would throw bottles at you to train up your skills. And there was three lanes, that you can move into to dodge bottles.

Eventually you got on a pirate ship and went to sea.

You made friends with nother scrub pirate.

Eventually the 3 of you got booted off the ship and stranded on an island, and we learn that the other scrub pirate was in fact... A GIRL.

And the seasoned seadog says, "I thought I was fancying her legs, but then I thought that maybe I was going a bit funny."

The island had some sorta central american natives with great grand treasures.

There was a some what amount of puzzles. None of which I can remember too well.
