there was this heavy rp browser based game where players started as babies born to other players  and there was a queue to start a new character. i never got to play it but it sounded interesting
That sounds like something creepy deviantart would be all over.

I remember reading a PC gamer article about this game a few years (i think!) back. It was some sort of empire building game, or strategy game of some type, where players all ruled kingdoms or parts of kingodms, and players could be elected to government and the kingship (or something like that) does that ring a bell with anyone???

I'm trying to recall the name of a game that was an RTS. You had fortresses and towns spread out across a map. You would collect and send armies around the map, and these armies required food, so for long trips you needed to send food carts. I think the fortresses generated soldiers.

Ok here it is! (thank goodness I found this thread... Honestly would it be too much to give this a title that made it easier to find in the search engine? :P)

PS1-PS2 game.

Turn based mech game. Mechs come in three ranges- Short, Medium, and Long.

As well each mech gets 2 (or 4 I forget) compliments of soldiers with their own abilities and stats... Soldier types are: Medic, Soldier, Sniper, Engineer to name a few that I remember.

When you get into combat you walk either towards or away from the opponent.

oh, so many of those blur together.  but my money would be on Armored Core.

ninja edit:  wow, did I say these things blured together?  I meant Front Mission.  my money is on Front Mission.

It isn't armored core because that isn't a Turn Based Strategy

It also isn't Front Mission because it doesn't have a real time section.

Rpg, medieval, procedural generated but fixed seed. Not Daggerfall, newer. World extensive enough that it might as well be infinite. Might be DynGen, but I don't think so.

"Yes, but that rather hinges on doing certain things and not doing others." - Paraphrased from Discworld.
