Sorry if I'm posting in the wrong thread, but would somebody suggest some steampunk-themed games? Preferably Roguelikes, MUDs, RPGs (not Arcanum because I know it and its awesome).

Deffinitly the wrong thread. I would recommend searching in the forums for "steampunk", and if you don't find anything, start a new thread asking about it. Any suggestions here run the risk of derailing this thread, so it'd be much better to create your own thread, and I'm sure you'll get flocks of suggestions at that point.

What was that game in devlopment that has a homeworld vibe to it? It was about big massive motherF 500t ( No idea the real tonnage ) about them being left over after the war and coming back to life after a new war erupted, talking about scavenging wreck of the said old war and so on? I have the picture ni my head everything just dont have the god damn name of it. Hell even the speacking were homeworld 2-esque.

DF doesn't mold players into its image - DF merely selects those who were always ready for DF.

Minecraft UI is very simple. There's only so many ways you can implement "simple" without copying something. We also gonna complain that it uses WASD?

Homeworld: Shipbreakers probably, though I don't know about old wars or coming back to life.

I saw a cinematic trailer for a survival game a while ago, with no in-game scenes, detailing how the character got all of their equipment (Showing them picking up their gun/canteen/whatever off of someone else's corpse, etc) and then ended with someone killing that survivor to take that gear. Now I'm having trouble finding it on steam. Any ideas?

EDIT: Found it, the game was Nether.

This game just recently popped back into my head and I was looking to play it, problem is I can't seem to remember the name of it.

It's an old game, with voxely or pixely graphics, but 3D. It's got a name like 'Wargame' or 'War-something' followed by a year, like 2050 or 2030 or something like that. It's an RTS, with the gimmick that you can design your own units based on chassis, guns, propulsion (wheels or tracks or even jet engines) that you research over time. It has had a few remakes since then.

Unfortunately that's all I remember. So, do you think you guys can help me out?

That's the one. Thanks man. Earth 2150 is a (rather poorly made, I think) remake of it.

I'm... relatively certain the Earth series has nothin' at all to do with Warzone 2100, for what that's worth. Entirely different studios. The former's an alright set of RTSes (2140, 50, & 60, with some expansions and whatnot in there), the latter is one of the best RTSes the gaming world has seen, in my opinion. WZ2100 was definitely one of the best of its time, at least.

Yup, all true. Earth 2150 was deep in development by the time WZ2100 was released, so they might have stolen some minor ideas, but the similarity of general gameplay should probably be chalked up to zeitgeist (that or they looked at some kind of alpha version?). And it's also true that WZ2100 is really good (now anyway, I never played the original before the Open Source community got to it...)

Hi again all! You have been fantastic at remembering things so far, maybe you will know this one. It was a side-scrolling arcadey game set in "Bronx" where you had three characters with things like baseball bats. It had an animated/comic style to it, had levels like an evil nursery and the boss was some kind of a doctor reminescent of Sonic. Any luck?

... any idea re: system or time frame?

That said, a cursory google search came up with, possibly, "Three Dirty Dwarves". Maybe on the sega saturn? I'unno.

Right. It was PC, circa late 90's or very early 2000's.

BUT! That's actually the correct game! Man, I wasn't even close in the name. Thanks!!
