played this a few years back I think.

It was an RTS set in space, 3d movement and the like, but the control system felt more like EVE Online. I remember the plot involved the Main character waking up like a decade after a battle he ejected from. Then He goes on to fight some AI thing that was immune to conventional weapons.

I also recall that the game had no built-in skirmish mode, but the fanbase had managed to create one anyways.

Only 3d RTS set in space I know is Homeworld. I don't know if that story line is true for any of the expansions.

Might be Nexus: The Jupiter Incident. But I don't remember any of the plot from that game.

Amstrad game. Isometric with an infamous classical soundtrack. Don't remember much more than that. Any hints?

Anyone heard this one?
http://invisiblegames.net/archives/killswitch/
That got the hairs on the back of my neck up, i'm telling you.
I thought this thread was about real games?
That was cute regardless.
Sure, its a nice story
Sorry. Didn't think it was that much of an issue. Also - if anyone DID know of some games like that one, I wants them. So it was sort of a shot in the dark.
Glad at least some enjoyed it - it's by my fav' author.

Okay, this is a hard one, and I really don't think anyone will be able to help me, but I LOVED this game forever ago. Even if the odds are very low, I'll take that chance.

The game is a flash game, I played it on Newgrounds.com. It's a turn based strategy game with stickfigures, but they use real life guns. You could customize the names/guns of the stickmen. The maps were tilebased, you could shoot through windows and throw grenades.

I've asked several times on several forums and NO ONE seems to remember this game.

I think I played it 7 years ago, maybe.

Sounds ALMOST like Territory War, but that's probably what everyone on those other forums said, right? I have no idea.

Think of it like Sim City, except with rival mayors that seek to destroy your citizens by arming legions of homeless people and sending them to attack you.

That is exactly what everyone else says.

The difference is, this is more tactical. Mix Rainbow Six Vegas with Fire Emblem, now make it stick figures.

Top-down run around shooter. You level up the more people you kill. It has a decent heightmap kind of thing and is immensely fun to play.

Completely free. Multiplayer.

Maybe Modern Tactics, or MT 2?

Holy craaaaaaap, you actually found it. I guess the whole stickfigure thing was just something my mind made up over the past decade or so, but hell yes, this is it. Oh man, thank you so much.

There was a casino game I remember playing on the SNES. If I remember correctly, you choose one person to be sort of your advisor(I don't think their advice was ever any good). There were a couple of casinos you could go to, but the last one was locked until you reach $1 million, and you beat the game when you hit $1 billion.

I also remember it had random events, one of which was a shifty guy offering to sell you either a Folex watch or a diamond, which you could sell in another event that happens a little while later. I remember the diamond was almost always a fake, but the watch was more often than not real, thus profiting you.
Found it! Vegas Stakes.

Can't believe I asked this back in November :-\.

There was this SNES game back in the days, where you did some stunts on a sidescroller view, and the more stunts you did the faster you went... I remember playing that to death. Can't remember the name though...

Cant remember the name but it was something to do with Unicycles. no rider just a unicycle doing flips and tricks
