 Think of macs as Anime: They have a crazy fanbase and even crazier creators. That doesn't mean we should damn it or the people who read it.

 But yes, we much plan our invasion of The Confederacy of Pie. The League of Lunch is supplying them with resources for a similar invasion they plan.

I use a PC because it's cheaper than a Mac(The original Macbook Air is of roughly even power to my Toshiba Sattellite A135, if significantly lighter and thinner.  It cost six times as much, and I recently learned that Mac users have to actually pay for their sequential updates.) and because I like to play games once in a while(which has, admittedly, been put on hold, given my only working computer currently has an Intel graphics card, which means most of the games I've been playing recently are freeware and cross-platform).

I find the statement that Apple has superior tech support rather amusing.  My laptop was damaged(when taunted about this by Mac users, I mention my laptop bag strap broke while I was running full-tilt down a flight of stairs, and it actually beat me to the bottom.  They're notably cowed, and usually admit they wouldn't want to risk subjecting their Macbooks to this to test their durability, no matter what people say about them).  I then opened it up to try to fix it myself, failed, called Toshiba tech support, they provided a box, I sent it in, and got the laptop back a week later, looking like it'd been through a war zone, but otherwise in perfect working order.  This is at very least no worse than I've ever heard Mac tech support to be, and actually is significantly better than some stories I've heard.

I've also heard Mac users complain that their last PC was choked with viruses.  Suffice to say I'm pretty sure I know what they use their computers for, if you know what I mean.   (I've used a PC with no antivirus for extended periods, only to scan it once I did load antivirus software and find it clean, or at least to know exactly where the one or two viruses I did pick up came from.  The first couple of times this happened, I couldn't believe it, and scanned a few more times, using multiple AV softwares.)

I do consider Macs to have a purpose, though.  The interface is more user-friendly, and they're really perfect for people who are not technically-minded.  Just know that, as far as I can tell, you're paying five to six times as much for a user-friendly interface.

If I'm wrong about anything(and given my track record here, someone's going to say I am), I welcome corrections.

Yeah, mine gets that way too.
I end up with all sorts of crap piled on top of other crap.
And failed attempts to put stuff in folders.

Macs actually run faster with a clean desktop.
No clue why, but they do.
