Has anyone tried this yet?
« on: June 09, 2009, 12:47:22 pm »

A couple of months ago, I made some (badly drawn) pics of some kind of mega-death trap idea.
Instead of explaining how it'd (possibly?) work, I'll just post the pics. You'll get the idea.

So, just a random idea. Anyone have any expierences with similar concepts?

Rad descriptive pictures.

Yeah,  it has been done, i believe.  I know I have regularly done it  in reverse to kill human towns.

You've dug away the surroundings of a human town and let it all crash down? Awesome, I'd try it out, but my Dwarves never seem to have enough alcohol to actually get the job done within a couple of years.

Yeah.  bring 6 miners and a farmer/brewer.  All of the wealth from the human town counts as yours, so expect a lot of migrants.

First thing,  unforbid EVERYTHING the humans own,  then make a large food stockpile.  Your dwarves will go steal all the human food.  Then steal their beds/tables etc.  When you have a short term fort, begin the mining.

I do that with 7 miners, I embark on the most populated human town around, and find the largest building, and dig out underneath it, and channel out around it...

The most deaths I've ever cause at once was around 400, in a town with a population of around 1000.

It would happen almost as pictured, only instead of TANTRUM in the last pic you would have DEAD. :P

Something tells me that one peasant who was slacking off for no reason, or a hunter, or a fisherdwarf would just happen to be somewhere else at the time and survive.
