 I checked that file out.

Were you not sieged by werewolves? Or maybe you just brought everyone in and waited it out? Why did I get my ass handed to me twice while you have no deceased werewolves in the unit list?

...Heh. I hate to come across all "THE END IS COMING" but these werewolf sieges are tough, and you guys still have just one trained axedwarf and an alarming deficit of dwarf-usable weapons.

no, I didn't get besieged, but I have a feeling that it is coming.

and I made around 25 bone crossbows, so there are enough to arm everyone in case of attack

oh, and you're just unlucky Frogeyes ;)

Note for next player

I labled the levers. Press N and then move over the lever and it will tell you what it does. You can add notes to anything by N-ing over something, pressing p to place a marker and press n, then type your note.

Give me a sec (or rather several hours), I'm in the office right now. :-)

Ok, downloaded the game and trying to get in touch with the situation now.

Looks like the priority goals will be:

1. Defence.
2. Rebuilding the well from scratch. Current version uses up too much valuable space, drops FPS, drains away at the earliest opportunity and is a permanent flooding hazard for the first floor. In short, this is a truly dwarven well.
3. Stockpile and workzone reorganization.
4. Breaching magma pipe and getting magma to the shore.
5. Doing something with merchants depot - merchants need a separate entrance.

Construction of the lighthouse is not my top priority for this year, I'd rather solve the defensive, supply and trade issues.

That said... Strike the Earth Water!

Lav the Clerk's diary.

Granite 1. Oh man, they have finally recognized who should be running this place. Queen's parcel arrived today, assigning me as the lighthouse director for the next "term", whatever that would mean.

And it looks like Granite 2 entry will not come soon. Previous director complained about mismatched jobs - well, they are still mismatched. Why on Earth that Tulon guy is making stonecrafts when I'm much more skilled in this? Why did Scruga have to produce all those low-quality crossbows when we had a highly proficient crossbow maker ever since we came here? And now that I mention this, why Scruga is not allowed from working mechanics when he's the best-skilled mechanic within a 100 miles radius?

Seems a lot of reorganization is in order. What a luck that I'm the best organizer here as well.

You seem to have a baby, but it's weird, I do not see it anywhere and when I'm trying to zoom to it I'm zooming to some empty location on the map.

Hey! Maybe your baby was already snatched? I'll send our axedwarf to investigate.

I haven't yet progressed the time even for a second as I went to cinema. Most of the work is going to be done on Sunday it seems.

I suspect complacency from you Scruga, you don't have an unhappy thought and you were in the middle of the fortress at the time.

Also, the snatcher had to steal your baby off your back, so how do you not notice him?

Hey, you think you could name a dwarf after me? I never got to, since my turn ended in disaster. If you end up training any melee fighters, that would be ideal, otherwise I don't care.

Well, Samus failed to find the baby anywhere near the spot that I was zooming to, so it seems the baby is gone for good. Maybe one day it will return to say thanks to his mother (Scruga) and maybe he will even bring his new friends to keep him company... Who knows?
