The launcher itself crapped out on me. After about 7-10 hours of downloading. DAMNIT

Well, there's a test on [REDACTED] on the EU server. New patch, that's 4 gigs. Christ, what have I gotten myself into.

I only dislike the large files. They don't seem to resume in the middle if you have to close the updater. It's the third time I'm downloading Dialogue.pck.zip. =p

That does suck. Hopefully the patches will be in smaller increments in the full game. I'm looking forward to my first playtest though. It's going to be awesome.

My computer is about 5 years ago. It was ace back then, though. I'm wondering if I'll need to upgrade. Nvidia 8600GT is the only piece I can remember off hand.

What I'm getting at, is, I want to play this, do I need to upgrade first, and if so. how much do organs sell for these days?

It isn't too high up the tech-spec tree, being an Unreal Engine 3 game.

They released the payment model here.

tl;dr You get 50 hours out of the box, and can buy more time in 20 hour increments for 7 dollars, or get an unlimited plan for 10 dollars/month. There is also a 90 day and 180 day plan available, which is cheaper than the 10 $/month.

It's actually one of the better payment plans I have heard from an MMO. It doesn't cheat you of boatloads of money, and you can pay whenever you want to play. Personally, the casual model will probably be good enough for me.

Thoughts from anyone else?

Meh, They said no monthly payments.

I guess you wont have to pay if you're a good market seller. I mean, I will surely be making a lot of music for the game and sell it to players.

Monthly payments non-mandatory with other options is very good. Best of all? the bought time doesn't tick down when you're in the Social District. So you can customize infinitely and hang out, and only spend your time when you're actually out in the field

Non-mandatory in terms. You can't join any action without the monthly payment, or hour payment.

The only bit I liked was being able to buy game-time with the game market money. I hope people will like my compositions.

I've been in the beta for a loong while now, and this means I definatly wont be buying the game.

As a pick up and play action type game its awesome, as a game with an MMO subscription model... meh. I'd hesitate to call it an MMO really, since that implies to me a huge gameworld rather than different instanced and seperate locations with a relativly small player limit.

This game is good, but I definatly don't think it's pay-to-play good.
