At the Sign of the Prancing Pony, Day 2:

A chill hangs on the air as morning dawns once again over Bree. Nothing seems to have changed in the Inn as warmth reluctantly returns... except for a curious symbol marking the door to Errol's Inn Room. It looks almost like a crudely drawn eye with a slitted pupil. Perhaps it was just someone's idle doodling, but no one remembers it being there when they retired for the night. Come to think of it, the Guard Captain mentioned finding a smeared charcoal mark yesterday, on the doorway of the murdered Hobbit's room.

Errol is still alive- in fact, no one was harmed at all last night- but if these marks are connected, you can't help but think that the killer hasn't yet completed their work.

Pardon the delay... time has been tight, and writing blurbs for night events turned into a much more daunting task than it should have been. Also, apologies to those of you who got bare-bones PMs last night; I figured it was better that than continually put off the next day dreading the 2-5 paragraph short stories I tend to want to write.

Story bits will probably be shorter from here on out, but I'll do my best to not have another delay like that from here on out.

The ring has betrayed him, as it had a 50% chance of doing.  This means that he can't use it again, and has to pass it on to a hobbit tonight, or the town loses.  Did anyone read the description?  This is why I was against SC's mad plan.

Speaking of which, congratulations, SC.  You're gambit was successful, meaning we now know that Errol is town.  So, we can all send him our roles, and he can decide who's suspicious, and who needs to be lynched.  However, this is not a game-breaking strategy, because unlike Josh in Paranormal, Errol can, and will, be killed.  So now he has one day to decide who is town and who is scum.  More importantly, he has to find a hobbit in the bunch that he can trust.  The problem with that is he has no time to set up tests, such as seeing if someone can be blocked by a Pippin, or if a Merry can tell who a Strider's target was, or even if a fake Frodo has a fake ring (which could be entrusted to the real Frodo to prove the fake's identity).

FoS Cheetar, Inaluct, Webadict, Flintus, Alexhans, Pandarsenic, and Little for going along with this foolish plan.  I'm sure at least one scum could be found among that lot.

You want me to narrow it down?  In my opinion, you and webadict are far to smart to go along with this plan.  You two, of all people, should have seen the potential consequences of this action.  Panda and Inaluct are next, as I believe both of them to be very good mafia players, worthy of respect, even if they do mess up every once in a while.  Little and Flintus I can forgive for going along with the crowd, though I'm still more suspicious of them than any of the other players who didn't participate in that scheme.

I'm going to be honest, I saw a proposed gamebreaker, overlooked the flaws, and went to play Paranormal and IRC Mafia. And owning the hell out of Nirur Torir's goblins in Age of Restoration. And Monster Defense.

I think I've been overextending myself as far as forum games go.
