Demand issue (actually in the right place this time)
« on: June 07, 2009, 08:05:13 pm »

Ok, so my count consort just demand an "item in Bedroom" so I'm thinking, its gotta just be a generic whatever I feel like placing, so I put an armor stand but no, demand is still there...

This is probably a known bug but I have to go really soon and I don't have time search

Anyone know what she actually wants??

EDIT: I just noticed that the count also demanded an "item in Tomb" now I fear for my dorfs lives...

Of course, why else would dwarves risk life and limb to retrive one sock during a full scale siege onslaught.
The depressing thing is that they quite often lose life and limb(s) in the process.

If you don't have time to search, I'd recommend waiting until later to search, and then report the bug if you don't find anything. The release cycle on DF is long enough that a few hours or days' delay in a bug report won't make a difference.

In other words, this is a known bug.

Generally they do this when they make a demand for a material that has only been half-implemented for now, like horn, ivory, coral, or pearl, to name a few (though I've heard this can also happen with normal materials, so check your noble's favorite materials and try putting some of those in there).

Demands, unlike mandates, only result in a minor unhappy thought in the noble and nothing more, so don't worry about it if you can't satisfy her.

regardless, the slime shooter will be completed, come hell or high water, which are both entirely plausible setbacks at this point.
