Now the only question is what we'll use to simulate the light at the top, fire imps perhaps?

I wish dwarves had the ability to ignite things themselves... We would just stack a lot of wood there and burn it.

Wait! I have it! Lignite block bin  ;D. We just need to embark on a area with a magma pipe though.

...Wait..transportation might be a problem, mmm

Can fire imps ignite stacks of normal logs?

K. Map checklist

Sea (it would be best if it was bay-like)
Land(O'really!? Lots of trees though)
Magmapipe/pool
Not very cold
+werewolves

If fire imps can ignite normal wood logs I'm thinking something like this:

Spoiler (click to show/hide)

Also normal rivers are salty when next to the ocean right? Checked wiki, rivers and even pools quite far away from the water will be salt.

I don't think they are. But a simplified explanation of your drawing(gr8 skill btw :3) is dropping wood + cats towards imps with fortifications between them?

Exactly, and thanks   ;)  I try. Except fortifications aren't neccasary since everything is being safely dropped in from above (fireimps can't shoot up and down z-levels)

Of course! And cat's don't hurt fire imps afterall :P

Ok an important note. We cannot attack the imps or other fire creatures till we have them caged.

Well, I figured I can just use the world seed to gen the world with the mod again so, we want a evil, good or normal ocean?

I think that considering that there will be werewolves, I would vote for a normal ocean, but we could try an evil one to make it extra hard :P
