Exploiting the land isn't greed, it's dwarven foresight! And I'm fine with 7 dwarves, will be fun if we take no items along though, not even the mighty pick.

Random idea: each player represents one of the seven deadly sins (like Pride trying to build something epic or Greed collecting treasures and exploiting the land).

THIS IDEA IS IT! It's so awesome. I guess they'll start without skills?

I thought about it again. I'm going to gen a world. And just show the dwarfs here. This topic is going to be used as a place we can plan our fortress.

Places so far:
1. Scruga
2. Demonic Spoon
3. filiusenox (i think, please confirm it)
4. Frogeyes
5. Shintaro Fago
6. Free, feel free to join in! :D
7. Same

I'll be going to my bed pretty soon so i might not respond ;P

EDIT: Also. What stuff are we going to bring? Are they allowed to help eachother?(of course influenced by eachother's sins, could make a nice story). Will they live in a shared cave? I think they should and should help eachother in exchange of something that fits their sin.

I got a little problem. Some of the sins are hard to implement since the social aspects of DF are not very well developed and wouldn't result in some worthy gameplay :(

Umm so is that a no go on the werewolf mod?

Pride: works on some big megaproject.

Sloth: does as little as possible for their turn?

Greed: harvests as much resources and tries to raise the fortress value as much as possible.

Gluttony: creates as much food as possible.

Wrath: Builds up the military? Creates an arena or a really mean trap? No idea.

Envy: Don't know what this would be.

Lust: Haha, no idea.

All in all, this isn't really going to work that well. I have no idea what envy and lust would be; and there are fairly logical "goals" for Sloth and Gluttony, but they sound really boring.

Well if we are going to bring stuff I suggest nothing more than the basics, a pick and a axe(if you really like it easy also a anvil)

We'll keep the seven sins in mind. I had a different idea. Just a collection of the old ideas. Fishing village over a river/sea/lake with a huge wooden tower in the center besieged by werewolves? xD

Wait, I have a idea, our goal, is to make a great watch tower at the bay/strait of so and so to guide ships through/into, for it is very treachorous terrain. The watchtower must be far out to sea because reports have been made of groups of werewolves seen in the bay... floating wood helps with this grand construction then. Land in the bay however is infertile and no farming can be achieved, thus fish and wild animals are the only source of food( I suggest we import a lot booze).

This would mean we'd have to make it not salt using pumps =P (check-double-check, does a pump still do that?)
