It disconnected me because it thinks that "butts" is profane.

The very first thing I wrote when it asked me my name was "I hate this."

It then kept referring to me as Mr Hate.

I enjoyed that. It feels like you're talking to an incomplete human, I feel strangely satisfied.

Like an amputee?  I've talked to amputees before, it's exactly like talking to someone with everything still attached?

You guys are missing the point. The robot wants to get you to consider all thinking entities human, so robots will have human rights once they become advanced enough to think like we do. Personally, I support this initiative. As soon as I can get a chance to have my mind and body integrated into a monolithic supercomputer, I am totally doing it.

Also, this exchange sums up my entire experience with this thing:
Quote
Mr Robutts: Would I be human if I were a wizard?

Me: HUMANS ARE SMARTER THAN APES

Yes, I appear to be too stupid to operate this robot.

I second this.

That thing is actually a lot more interesting if you don't troll it. It's got some good points.

Would we really want DF 1.0 ruling the world?

I liked it at first but was annoyed by the end. I talked to it for like half an hour and it never gave me a verdict. I eventually just told it I had to leave.

I did like how it kind of got me to think philosophically and wax poetic for a bit, though.

Yeah, that's kinda the point.
It gets you to think like that.
The point actually isn't convincing it you're human.

What, is it trying to convince you that it's human or something?

I assumed it was, based on the introduction in the OP.

Prove to a robot that you are in fact human.

If I had known going it that it was just a subversion of the turing test with a philosophical bent I probably would have enjoyed myself more.
