---------------------------

A World's End RPG is a 2D side scrolling war RPG. In WERPG You chose one of 6 factions. American, German, English, Russian, Japanese, or French.

WERPG is a mainly PVP RPG. The entire game is PVP. It also includes Capture the Flag, Raids, and Destroy the Objective.

Custom Edits: The game will have many custom coding's including Teleports, Parachutes, and possibly aiming. The game is practically a new engine.

Vehicles: The game will also include Buyable vehicles. These vehicles will include tanks, which will be useable only in tank routes against other tanks.

Squads: These are small teams of NPC's that will follow you. When on normal routes you can only have a team of 2. When on tank routes you can have a team of 4 with 2 in vehicles. If you are going to do a parachute drop, you must have enough parachutes for your entire squad.

Routes: are roads or paths that limit or only allow certain people or items. So far there are only 2 kinds of routes, Tank routes and Normal routes. Tank routes are the only way you can use a vehicle of any sorts, they also allow you to have a squad of 4 with you. Normal routes restrict vehicles and squads down to 2 men.

Aiming: This will be used via the mouse. You move the mouse towards the top of the screen your gun will aim up. Move it down it will aim down. Shoot at a hard object, it will stop.

Partical Engine:
a partical engine might be used. 1. for smoke from guns overheating. 2. Fire. 3. Blasts from guns/ammo dropping from guns.

Ammo: There MIGHT be ammo added to the game to make a reload time, ammo will most likely be unlimited, but there will be reload times.

Bases: Now you might be thinking, "OMG its all PVP? The other teams will just kill me when I’m trying to level or when I spawn!" WRONG! Your bases include a training zone within them so low levels can train before setting out. Be warned BASES ARE ATTACKABLE. There will be raids and your best bet is to stay back if you’re a low level. Let the level 50 guards and Heroes take care of it.

Heroes: Heroes are the specially named NPC's of your base. When engaging in a Raid you are looking to kill the other Teams Hero or Heroes. Heroes are usually very highly armored and are above level 50. Best to attack with a group.

Stats: Stats will be in the game. This makes it more of a RPG and also makes it so that a Sniper can also use and do a sufficient amount of damage with a machine gun. All stats go up to level 100.

Weapons: Handguns and knives require defense. Machine guns and shotguns require attack. Riflemen and snipers require vitality. Grenades and rocket launchers require a certain level.

Skills: More info later, So far only in idea process.

Normal Stats: These are the stats such as STR DEF SPD and MAG. now changed to Attack, Defense, Vitality, and Skill.

Banks: banks will store money and items. In the event of a successful raid, a key will be picked up. Bring it to the bank and you receive a random amount of money above 1000.

Money: Money is called UD's aka Universal Dollars. This is used to buy normal items and weapons.

Markets: There is a market in each base, this is to sell your items to others or buy items. There is also a market chat. Which is used by /m [message].

Friend System: There will be a friend system. It will work like so. You will press a button and it will bring up a menu showing your friends and you can add them and remove them and look at them and such.

Global Chat: Global chat is used by typing /g [message]. This goes to EVERYONE. Not just your team!

Radar: still in idea form. We might have a radar/minimap.

Full screen: Full screen playability might be added.

Credit/Checks: This will be a system of where instead of lugging money around with you. You deposit it within a bank and you just click the "Pay with Credit" Button and it shows you, how much you have, how much it costs, how much you'll have left over.

NPC Attacks:
An example of a NPC attack is the attack on the French base that happens every 5 hours or so. This means that on a major tank route 2 German tanks and 4 German men will spawn. On the French side 4 French men will spawn. When the attack starts it will be announced World-Wide (Global Chat). Then it’s up to the French to defend their base, and the Germans to break through and attack the French.

Honor System: as you level you will get different ranks and abilities. When being restricted from using a item, it will say required Level: (insert rank here). So you move up from a private to a General and such. People can see what level you are by your profile and Clothes.

Profiles: There might be profiles added to the game. More on this later. Will look like dog tags, with your rank, name, class, faction, and stats on them.

Maps: I plan to have many many maps in the entire game. Maybe 1000 or so. Because as explained in detail in the next info box, this game is the world.

World/Climate: Well it cant be a modern world game without actual world-like features...so in the final release there will probably be many climates and such. Ranging from Desert to Tundra, you can go anywhere on the earth including Antarctica.

Frames: Frames as in when you move or attack. There will be many frames and we don't know the exact number yet, but we are working on getting it. We are going to try to make it as real as possible.

3 Planes of Enviroment: So we have 3 planes of enviroment. Far-Plane, Near-Plane, and Player-Plane. The Far-Plane is like mountains and such, this moves the slowest. The Near-Plane is like trees and buildings. It moves as you move. The Player-Plane is actually split into 3 extra planes, this is explained in the next info box. This is where your character is.

3 Planes of Movement: Ever played Little Big Planet? Well in it, the have 3 planes of Movment. Front, Middle, and Back. This creates a more 3D feel. Front is closest to you, in the real world. Back is farthest. We are going to use this same idea. So if you press up, you move up, if you move up and hit a ladder, you go up. This would also mean you can go behind the ladder.

Couple suggestions off the bat, and these are fairly general:

Spell/grammar check your stuff before you release it.  Including posts.
Having "if i shouldnt just tell me and ill delete it" (errors underlined) first thing on a post will discourage those who would provide constructive feedback.  If English isn't your native language, we'll know, as the difference between translation errors and errors made when you simply don't CARE enough to make it correct (showing you don't care about your project, thus why should we?) is blatantly obvious.

Be consistent.  Capitalizing certain things in some places and not in others (unless required by grammar, as above) makes for a mess.  This also applies to the code itself.  For example, if you name a weapon WeaponAK-47, there's no sense in naming its bullets BulletMachineGun131.

In relation to your project..  Using the acronym all the time isn't always a good idea.
WERPG just doesn't sound right to me.
Idealist is not the term you want to be using for that position.
Linking to a post on another forum that's IDENTICAL to this one is pointless.  Wait until you have a proper website to link to.
If you're going to number your to-do list, sort the contents in the order that they need to be done.
With that in mind, the implementation of the stats needs to be a lot higher up on the list, as this is, after all, an RPG.

Lastly, something that's not really a suggestion...   This sounds awfully ambitious.  Do you think you can pull all this off?  Do you think you can do it in a reasonable timeframe?

I understand what you're saying but you see, I don't spend all my time making sure all of my grammar and puncuation is correct.

I spend more time working with my other workers than on the simple W.I.P. If I spent more time correcting my errors I'm sure that my game will look better to some. But seeing as most of the people I know and most of the people who look at this are NOT grammar nazi's then I don't feel the need to correct all of them. Although if you notice a spelling error I will promptely correct it.

Thank you.

Perhaps just World's End? I don't much care for titles with extraneous acronyms. I can't count the number of RPGs that have "RPG" somewhere in the title.

Firstly, grammar and the internet have never been friends. I'm used to this and don't care.

However, when your first post is creating a topic promoting your game it looks sort of, you know, spambot-ish. Clearly you're not but...still. And since you seem to be mainly trying to recruit here I should point out that this isn't really a game developing forum. If that's your goal here you should probably find somewhere with a higher game-developer density like TIGSource or something.

But if it was just a good-natured first post about a project you're exciting about working on, which seems to be the case, I'd suggest moving this to the Creative Projects board. It would fit in better there, and the game looks kinda cool. Do you have a site yet or are you just running it out of those forum you linked to?

Im working on getting a site, its being built and should be up sometime before July. The forums should be up even sooner than that.

If you want i can move this to the other board.

I was thinking that aswell. I could shorten it. Most people on the other fourm just call it WE.

It does sound like that. and we expected to release it 2 or 3 years from now. I know many great games and people who got a great game like this released within 4 years at the most. And i have many people who can help move this along.

See, this is the problem.  When all the information we can find on the project has terrible spelling/grammar (which is currently the case), we assume by nature that the rest of it is quite possibly the same way.
I've done studies on this sort of thing before (unfortunately the server containing the results suffered a HDD failure), there is actually a CONSIDERABLE drop in the number of prospective testers when spelling/grammar is crappy.  I will not say that it's reduced to zero, of course, but regardless..  However many fools you know that don't care about grammar, there's always more than that number who do.  On a semi-related note, when coding, your syntax must be perfect or your code will not compile.  The same should be applied for any information on a project that's worth the time the coders are putting into it.
It takes less than 5 minutes to put your text into Word and spelling/grammar-check it, and that will weed out most of the errors there.
Hell, even just opening the Edit Post page up in Firefox could find about half of them.

Kinseti: Incorrect.  It is with the advent of instant messaging/texting that people stopped caring.  If you look at any native-English website that was around prior to those, you will find no mistakes of this nature.
Apparently, when time/number of characters matter, (IM/text) it's acceptable to ignore most rules of grammar.  I could care less then.  However, the problem is that, apparently, it's also acceptable to do the same for something that's most certainly NOT limited by time or number of characters. (forums, emails, websites)

It really doesn't bother me THAT much anymore.  I'm trying to help, as I know the truth about this sort of thing, and it really doesn't look good for you at the moment.
Grammar of Person A and constructive criticism of Person A's game/whatever by Person B are directly related.  That is..
As grammar of the author/creator improves, so does the constructive criticism of the readers/players/etc.

I think maybe we should all just chill out a little over this grammar business? I mean honestly, I've seen way worse in completed projects and I managed to enjoy them without hemorrhaging my brain over the indecency of it all.

And I mean...it was a forum post. How are you not desensitized to bad forum grammar yet?

Ok done.
I'm seeing the removal of the silly opening sentence, a few (I'd say 25% or so) of the errors fixed, and re-ordering of the to-do list.  It's better, don't get me wrong, but there's still room for improvement.
Now, do you like it or not?
It's far, far, far too early to call that.  The idea is decent, but I can't say anything past that...
Seeing a basic movement engine and corresponding sprites and saying I like the game it will be later is like seeing a car transmission and saying I like the car it's going to be put into.
We'll just have to wait and see.
And I mean...it was a forum post. How are you not desensitized to bad forum grammar yet?
Being desensitized to something and ignoring it are two very different things.
I'm very much desensitized to it, however I flat-out REFUSE to ignore it.
Im not a person who on informal fourms, likes to have super proper grammar. its just not me. so like kinseti said lets just put it all past us.
This isn't even about you.  It never was.  It's about your project.  I want to see a clean post presenting the project in a good way for EVERYBODY.  Not just those who are ignorant of the way English should be.
I don't usually generalize people based on their forum posts.  There's too many variables.
