ADoM "bloodline"?
« on: June 02, 2009, 10:19:36 pm »

So, how about an ADoM succession game? Like, we roll an absolutely random character and play in turns of 2000 (for example) err... turns.

If anyone is for it, sign up here. If as much as five people are signed up, then we shall begin!

ME! ME! ME! ME! ME!

It's been a while since I have played ADOM and I am more than willing to begin playing again.

I might be able to do that, depending on what version of adom we're playing. It has been a long time tho, so don't be scared if I kill the character. Or are we allowed to scum save? Even tho I remember adom had something against that.

Sign me in. Playing split-personality character is something new.

The players:
1. Dorten
2. Creamcorn
3. Il Palazzo
4. cowofdoom78963
5. Soulwynd

Cool! So, the organisational questions:

I propose not to savescum. The one, who kills the character, just rolls another one.

ADoM version - I propose DOS 1.1.1 Link, since it's more stable than Winbeta4. But if anyone has problems, we can use another one. (arent saves compatible, anyway?)

And the length of turn? 2000 seems all right for me.

Suggestions?

And another thing: should we be cooperating and seeking advice from each other at what to do, or everyone just does what he wants to, and gives out the results?

I think, that things like doing one or the other of mutually exclusive quests, or going or not to HMV are rather important.

ED: oh, another important thing. How long do we wait before passing the save to the next person, if the one in charge suddenly disappears, or has no time to play?

I like the idea of deranged character, who changes his mind and does random things. I vote that we let the players have full control over what the character does during their turn. If somebody wants to seek advice, then let them ask, but it shouldn't be enforced.
I say, wait 12h before passing the save further.

Anyway, I'm genning!

Month of Raven... Good! falling star killed the elder... Don't know WTF it that, but sill, can't be bad.

Female... Human... not bad... MERCHANT (whoops) specialised on... RINGS (whoops x 10)

Oh, well... at least +10 speed will help to run from monsters, coin tossing!

We have 2 talents to choose.

I propose long stride as one. What else?

I suggest 3 days at least. Cause I, for example, has no access to internet on weekends.

We can just set your turns up so that you dont have to go during weekends.

Anyway as for genning, looks like a mixed bag. How old is she?

We would have to wait either way, and push me further down in the list. I need to play a bit myself to remember how to.
