A unique succession game.
« on: June 01, 2009, 07:20:17 pm »

Just an idea I had.

Kind of a cross between broken-telephone and dwarf fortress.

You would play for up to 5 years, not 1. After the first year, you would prepare and upload a save, then describe what you did (no pictures) for the next year. The next person would start from where you made the save, and play for 2 years in the same pattern.

Post ideas, comments, or the first one of these.

Or try FUBAR! The best chocolate bar ever!
And you can't eat them, either, sadly. Even though it'd make sieges so much more fun; dwarves lining the walls, drooling and carrying sharp knives and forks, ready for the upcoming meals.

Hm. I do spot a few issues there. Firstly it's the timescale. For five years of game time (which can take a couple of weeks later on, once the fps takes a few blows) the fort progresses only one year. You could have up to five people playing the save in parallel I suppose.

But I do suggest that you cut that from five to two years. Then next person would play the first year according to instructions and the second as his own whim.

This actually sounds pretty cool.
And yeah, 2 years is much more reasonable than 5.
