The edge of the world
« on: May 31, 2009, 11:32:55 am »

So I happened to be wandering around near the edge of the game world, and decided to see what the edge looked like, turned out it doesn't.
Once the edge of your screen is up to the edge of the map, you can walk to the edge of your screen without it moving. You can't move past the edge of the screen.

I just though I'd put this up here, you might want to see for yourself to get what I mean though.

Would be cool if you simply turned up at the other side of the map again, as a loop.

Or if it took you on a magma boat ride to the tallest volcano and ejected you at the summit. Maybe with demons... Definitely with demons. Because they're Fun.

Blasphemer! We all know he caries it on his head!

Oh, hm, I wonder how a draining river looks at the edge of the world, and if it would sweep you off.

Hmm, this gives me a devious idea... What about dodging, ON THE SIDE OF THE WORLD?

You may very well just fall off...

Or get an awesome bug report:
When dodging at edge of world, chance to dodge over edge into invalid co-ordinates, causing everything to go WRONG EVERYWHERE!

At last, the elves shall prove their usefulness in unwittingly bringing about the end of all things. Use their stupidity, and make the glory of breaking the game all the more glorious... as they realize that they've accidentally annihilated everything by trying to kill you.

I'm curious what the barely conscious ai wrote about.
Well that went better than expected.  He went nuts and punched a rabbit to death, then the dogs and the whole dining hall ripped him to shreds.

If you can fly up above the edge of the world and still be able to see the over the edge of the map, than I believe we can go over the damn thing.
