I'm pretty sure it's just a wall. Dodging into a wall, walking into a wall... all the same.

The open spaces, i imagine, are leading to a pit or the ground- but still no lateral edge anomalies.

The wall is obviously made of the godliest of metals and the holiest of stones, bismuth and microcline, but with added godly awesomeness that makes it indestructible.

From what I know about physics (that clouds are crafted by wizards and that water is sentient and out to get me), the only feasible place the end of the world could lead to would be outer space. Where space hawks rule from their star-kingdoms and shuttle-cattle graze on moonbeams.
