Exactly. Double waves and the omega symbol are not ASCII symbols. As such, they are not available in ASCII draw. You need DFpaint to do that.

Well, I downloaded it a week ago, so that is odd. Very odd.
Especially seeing as they show an example with double waves.
It's a conspiracy. You have to pay extra for double waves and omega signs.

Goto the DFFD and download dfpaint. Take a screenshot of the screen.Open Paint, paste and then cut the part of the map you want.

Well, I said it was crappy, and it is:

Tweak it as you wish, the black was areas I was too lazy to fill in (you could just have it stay as terra incognita), the upside-down exclamation points are spots that could have important plot significance. I was too lazy to put in civs other than the dwarves and goblins. The marksdwarf is where I think our little hole in the ground is. Done with DF paint
