Then how do I become a wizard? I don't remember a wizard skill to pour points into.

Beat the wounded coyote to death. Then strangle the unconscious one to death.

Then rip open their bodies, and eat their hearts, and therefore their souls, and gain magic powers.

Eat the livers while I'm at it. The precious precious livers.

Why would you want pet coyotes? They're only good as bait or food. A random skill-less dwarf just effortlessly killed two with a pair of microcline rocks.
