Dwarf Fortress:Strike the Earth!(Week 9)on hold
« on: May 30, 2009, 08:18:58 pm »

Okay. This is a Dwarf Fortress inspired game, a co-op with Inaluct and I. We are going to start off with seven dwarves(you guys), and your attempts to build a fortress. We will introduce some things not yet in Dwarf Fortress(We will try some sort of magic, doctors, milking, fun, and a few things from the Under/Aboveground Diversity Threads(these are just a few I can think of at the moment)). While we are still working on it, for three days(So, until Tuesday, which is when Inaluct will be unmuted) you guys can help me, and suggest stuff. Also, you guys can claim one of the 7 beginning dwarves(Note:This will be for very active people only)(Note:There will be a waiting list, but be prepared to be chosen for a non-dwarf role, such as a kobold thief(You may decline, but please do not inform the players that there will be thieves, as this ruins the fun)).

Here is a picture of what a fortress may look like:

So, who's up for this? Remember, ACTIVE PEOPLE ONLY!

And I need help with a starting equipment list(like the one in regular DF). If you can help, that would be good.

1. Chaotic Josh
2. Nirur Torir
3. Rickvoid
4. Legolord
5. Strife
6. Mainiac
7. Okiendo

Waiting List
Emperor Jonathan
Wild Goose
ShadowDump
Archangel
Pandarscenic
SolarShado
DoctorZ
Aussie Guy
Jack_Bread

This is pretty nice looking Org. Is the whole "Inaluct muted for 3 days" thing going to get in the way of this?

How do I sign up?

5/6/7/8/9/10 points for skill levels
20 points per tool (with the axe being less effective than a battleaxe)
3 points per food/drink
3 points for raw materials

I'd love to be in on this.

2,060 point with nothing on the list. I just checked, but I know it varies.

2500 would probably be a good estimate. (Fairly certain the number I just got is on the lower end.)

2000 I guess it is then.

2000/7 is 285. Almost.

Seeds are 1 point, pick axe, and axe are 20. They are copper. Anvil is 1000. Please keep helping..

I also thought of adding in a fishing pole, that can be used instead of using a beard, and you have a greater chance of not being dragged in. Maybe?

Elves will bring wine, cloth, animals, so on.

Regular Dwarves like beer, think wines meh. Nobles like wine.

Wouldn't mind joining up.

Regular dwarves take their booze as much as possible as fast as possible, however the hell they can get it.  XD

We bringing animals?  War dogs, hunting dogs, the dreaded cat?

The dwarven economy is just a stand-in, from what I understand. As it is, it represents an actual economic system about as well as poison ivy represents a salad.

Oh, why not.  I'm in.  Just have my dude killed off by July 1st, because I won't be here for awhile after that.

Just make stuff up as you go Org.

Do we get to name our fort?

I'd like all my 10 skill slots to be spent to gain proficient intimidator and proficient persuader.
