I'm considering getting back into making maps. I could try to turn some of the famous df locations into tf2 maps.

I'm also all for a Dwarf Fortress community server, but as I am now a full time student I can barely pay for gas to get to school every day.  It took quite alot of doing just to give Toady my usual donation this year.

I vote for a ruins of boatmurdered cp map.  Or maybe a CTF of that one huge bridge fortress over the valley.

(As another said, unable to contribute, feel free to ignore my opinion entirely.  I may be able to donate from time to time, like I do on my current primary server, but it wouldn't be a regular or predictable thing.)

Ok, so a bit of a necro, but I want to keep this active. If you want, I'll get a server bought and paid for via paypal (I heard somewhere that you can have multiple people pay for one at the same time. So its like share) sometime during the summer holidays. Can i have a list of people who are willing to pay please.

I would certainly use a DFC server, if one existed, but helping to pay for it is a bit iffy.
On the other hand, if I did help, it would be a significant ammount of money, probably in the general area of 20$ CDN.

I've clearly been in the anime community too long, because at first I was trying to figure out what Pettanko had to do with Dwarf Fortress.  Then I was trying to figure out why B12 forum members would be using otaku slang.

Other than that, this is largely irrelevant to me.  I don't have TF2, nor do I have a machine that could play it if I did.
