Deon: Once again, this isn't finished.  :P
Pretty much all of the entries need atleast some adjustment, and the majority are placeholders--ie, only the names have been assigned, and sometimes not even that, in the RAWS. Biomes have pretty much not been touched yet, except in a few cases. I'll be working on the RAWS as I go, but for now, I'm just gathering everything into one place.

Quick Bump:

This has been going along pretty well so far. I haven't started editing the RAW data, except for the names, but most of the critters themselves are listed. I'll do a few more (insects, fish, beetles, ants/termites, etc. etc.), but most of the fun ones-fun for me-are completed.

If I miss anything you think belongs here, let me know and I'll be happy to look into it. Just remember that the RAW data isn't done yet, so just names so far. Thanks!

Another Quick Bump:

I've gotten all the vermin that I plan on adding in at this time. Should be more than enough, but if anyone comes up with something I missed, feel free to suggest it. I'll be working on the Raw data now, but it'll still be a while before everything's finished, polished, and put away.

Hey, check the Damage System thread, I've got a formula from Toady! Now you can set up your vermin hunters in a right way!

Holy shit.

I am bumping for great justice. This is a ridiculous amount of work here.

The thing that confuses me about dorfs is this. Dorf 1 dies in an avalance or somesuch. Dorf 2 is friends with dorf 3 and dorf 1. Dorf 2 berserks because of his friends death and kills dorf 3. also a friend. W. T. F.
Clearly you've never been drunk.

Holy SHIT.
Umm.
Zip it up and upload it somewhere please?
That is a ludicrous amount of copying and pasting.

Once it's not all copied data, anyway :P

Hmmm...I just realized now that I have the ability, potentially, to create my very own website. This "having my own computer" stuff is kind of heady.

I'll see if I can manage that, jaybud4. I'll try for sometime this week--no promises though, sorry.

Just make the raws, zip it, and send it to DFFD. Dwarf Fortress File Depot.

The raws, I've decided, are going to have to wait until the release. Sorry. On the up side, I've expanded the entry on beetles.

Should be done with it by Sunday, atleast as far as names go.

In the meantime, I'm moving spiders (also expanded) to their own post.

Scorpions have been (somewhat) updated, as have frogs/toads.

Also: If anyone has a suggestion for any areas I may be neglecting, please let me know.

Still checking in from time to time. Very ambitious, and very broad-reaching, but looking quite cool!

As an aside, you may want to consider doing this as a Wiki, or in the Wiki, as people could begin filling in appropriate Prefstrings (and description paragraphs?), if they so desired... unless you want to keep executive control over that sort of thing.

Also, I believe you have also neglected one of the greatest and most important arachnids ever to grace the desert.

No relation.
