[40d] Mood + animal slaughtering fail

My butcher got a fey mood while taking an animal to the butcher shop. It announced he cancelled the butcher job but the animal kept following him, now they both stand in the meeting hall doing nothing. I have all the workshops he's good at + craftsdwarf's workshop.

New question! If I were to remove elves [INTELLIGENT] tag in the raws, would it work?

No only a tanner. I'm sorry but it's too late to see if that was the problem since he went melancholy and I saved the fortress.
