Ah, I just reread the OP, I loved H.P. Lovecrafts stories, I still remember some of them.

Since the weekend doesn't seem to have been very active at all, I'm going to extend the day by 24 hours to Tuesday at 3PM board time.

Because people like targeting me. And it's a small game.

By saying that, I have potentially stopped horrible things from targeting me, because they are now more likely to either anticipate me being guarded, or expect me to be a role that kills it's attacker.

And by saying that, I have just either greatly improved or greatly worsened my chances. Same with this.
