Im pissed at this game. Because of this game, Aliens: Colonial Marines is getting the shaft. Delayed and even possibly canceled, which would be a far better of a game than AvP.

How do you figure that?  AvP and AvP 2 were great.  God I wish some asshat hadn't stolen one of my AvP Gold edition disks.  And it's by Rebellion who made the original!  I have allot of fond memories of AvP lan parties

Hm...I suppose there will be a PC version also, but as we all know: Console games ported to PC = epic fail.

Then why make it for consoles inthe first place?
For me, FPSs are easier to play on a PC, or atleast with a keyboard.

One simple reason: There's more money in console games.

The original AvP in coop mode Vs the aliens was the greatest thing on LAN back in college. Nothing like losing players one after another, and at the end just 2 of you left in some duct somewhere  and so many dots on the movement radar converging on your position...

They're in the ceiling!!  I remember I always used to use the "taunt" button, which just made the marine scream.

Oh your'e talking about me right?

Oh how I love being a xenomorph in those games.  ;D

Marines are kinda boring if you ask me, I rarly play(ed)as one.
I do remember one of my friends panicking everytime he saw a dot on the radar getting rapidly closer.  ;D

Predators, eh, they're ok I guess, but changeing vision constantly is rather tiring.

Aliens on the other hand.. Climbing on the walls and celings, in the ventilation shafts( or similar places),  waiting at one spot for a while only to drop onto my victim is one of my favorite tactics.  ;D

In AVP2, the challenging part of being an alien (multiplayer), is playing in the mode where you are a facehugger at the beginning, is my favorite.

Awesome.

The AVPs are still my most favorite FPSs.

Nothing beats an alien jumping at you while you freak out and accidentally shoot off its tail with a sniper rifle.

Why wouldnt they have normal vision?

Unless of course, you couldnt figure out how to change vision modes...

possibly becuase in the films they never showed the predators point of view in the human-visible light spectrum.  at least i think they didnt.

of course, playing the entire game in false-color IR or UV or milimeter-wave or whatever the fuck would get to be a serious headache after prolonged periods of time.  im sure it was a playability decision, and probalby a wise one.
