'Till they show an actual map, I just see new terrain textures.

I'll call it delicious when it isn't so, well, little.

They say the overmap is still colored noodle vomit. I thought that since they went for dynamically expanding the world, they'd go for proper fractal landscapes too.

One step at a time. As long as they are adding stuff regularly, I'm happy.

Exploits, whatever those are. I know one involves claims and the map edge, which many a goon abused. It was likely fixed when the map edges got invisible walls after they realized a lot of crashes happened when people walked off the edge.

Can you list a few?

Edit: because I am just thinking of letting a macro run for a few days and need some ideas of telling it what to do...

I noticed in the Forum that most that you can 'abuse' have been removed.
Such as Pulling Branches off a tree. You used to be able to get the +2 Ifinate times over but they made it stop boosting after you reach the 1000 mark (even with buying skills...)

This is why I would like a reset on skills...
If you find a abusive way of accumulating LP and the Devs stop it, but don't 'penalize' those that have used it already to reach X amount in LP, why let them keep the ill gotten LP when new folk have to learn more complex and longer ways. Then add in the fact that these folk can come and strike you down any time they want to. That is my only 'Hate' about the Stronger players...

okay guys, so I made it successfully to Bottleneck...  but I'm completely out of food, and I'm on the light red bar of hunger.  Is there anywhere I can score some quick free food?  And how do I join the village?

A good way to generate LP is to make teapots.

There are apple trees in the surrounding landscape (like south of town around the tip of the SW forest). Talk to Hamel or Goran about joining the village.

Drop a few LP into fishing and you can fish for food at our private lake.

Though, if you want to fish in the Southern part of the lake, do it during the day. The sign says so.

I think those of us who plan to be there in the new world near day one need to consider building a small commune immediately around the nearest mine so that, if it is needed, metal weapons and armor can be provided to our scouts. If they can't get but a certain distance out without support (which I imagine is likely) then we'll need infrastructure ASAP.

If I'm recalling correctly, J&L have plans for ocean fishies and river fishies, and I'm sure that if farming gets overhauled, soil fertility and watering will make it in somehow. Therefore, I propose that our optimal target location should be 2 different facilities. We should try for an island with a river, and settle along the river delta. If there is a mine on the island, we win. If not, we search for mines on the shore of a river or island, and colonize there, with a boat route between our two compounds. For great justice, of course.

I guess our first order of business on the new world shall be Togas...

I dunnow, it just.. feels right, since it seems we're becoming a collection of semi-independent city-states unified by trade and collective need for defense.
