Not in the forest, please. Claims there prevent animal spawning.

Then you'll lose everything. It's sad, but that's how things are now.

Damn, I already started a house too. Guess I'll build elsewhere.  :(

Oh and about joining bottleneck, who do I contact?

I've just registered to try this thing, but I can't connect.

Red message "Could not connect to server" when I log-in.
Is the server down?

Yep, that would imply that the server is down.  It does that...far too often for my tastes.

No, nowadays they're skeletal zombie cattentacle demons with damblocks equal to Avogadro's number. (They implemented pathfinding.)

However, given that the hardcoreitude of monsters is now determined by the amount of 'civilization' in the area, said foxes are rather docile. No more of them rampaging in the streets, as they're level 1 for a fair bit outside town.

They also implemented 'animals running the hell away', which when I last tested it made animals flee after about one hit. Loftar's supposedly fixed this to be slightly less egregiously absurd, but I haven't been hunting since then so I can't say for sure.

I myself, being a non-hunter and preferring to not be eaten by animals, really liked the fact that bears hightailed the moment you scratched them. Too bad its fixed now :P

On the new map, I shall have an alt as the city planner, if you don't mind. I will zone out residential areas and suitable industry/farming areas, and rope off the forest for lumberjacking controlledly.

Edit: The overall structure of zoning will be quite loose, as I wish the town to be more of a controlled town than a full-blown city. Square plots will range from 15x15 to 25x25, depending on proximity to the Village Idol.

Edit-Edit: I've thought this over, and I'll only do the zoning if you guys REALLY want me to. In the meantime, I shall be courier to the writers of Bottleneck Bulletin. *hats off to you all*

...guys, we have a problem. And not just the 'Ragnarok' Grief fanatics.

We may even have a war on our hands before the end of the server.

I found many cultist-esque runestones, (not that many, only a few, still something to be concerned about.) and they have threats of war before Ragnarok, and how it will purge us all. I left a note for the writers of the Bottleneck Bulletin, and they'll hopefully publish an issue so that the town gets notified. I just hope that this doesn't happen soon. Watch your backs, people. We've got a Cult-Army on our hands.  :-X
